He posted a tweet about Ghost of Tsushima (PS4 game) in a PS5 thread. The post was deleted for being off-topic. Looks like he got upset and quit GAF over it, since he cancelled his Gold sub and hasn't logged on since.

Maybe he'll cool off and return some day.

I've had my own freak outs. Hopefully he returns. I enjoyed his take on things.

Thanks for the update.

He'll be back ,call everyone retards and then leave for a day. Then he'll come back and will be forgiven.
Nah. Chunk will say gomenasai by next week and everything will be fine. Or he won't. Yes. RIP Mista.

Was going to PM this, but since he hasn't logged in...

Chunk. Come back to us. Whatever grievance you have, wouldn't it make sense to come back and hash it out? Give things a chance to be reconciled?

I know you love this place, and I think you've said it's impacted your life for the better? Nobody would spend that much time (I say this in a positive way) or money on something they didn't truly enjoy and love, in any case, right?

To throw it all out the window, without giving things a chance to settle and be figured out, I think we both know that's a really unfortunate result. Not only for you, but for the many, many people that enjoy your posts, enjoy your crazy dedication to bringing us the latest news, that enjoy you and your presence here.

I have been using this line a lot lately, and it's not because I've run out of creativity, lol, it's because it's the first thing that a lot of lose sight of when we're angry, is that we're all family. This place is family. And yeah, sometimes family needs to work a few things out, but quitting it, severing that line, only hurts everybody.

So come back. We'll talk a little bit. Tess will post a weird YouTube video. And maybe, we'll get this figured out. I'd like that. A lot of people would like that.

Ill put out if it means getting Chunk back since CatLady CatLady won't.

Makes me sad, he's such a nice guy. I know he was super excited for TLOU 2, so I'm holding out hope he's caught up in playing and will come back when he finishes it.

People that keep spamming the salt gif only for it to be followed by a incoherent paragraph is far worse.

TLoU2 is bringing in droves of lurkers to astroturf away the evil woke criticism, as it goes every time a group of people on the internet have an non-allowed opinion.

And if you told console fanboys that their favorite company was now Islamic, they'd show up with full beards and picnic cloths on their heads tomorrow, singing about Allah. No surprise that a ton are going temporary SJW to support TLoU2.

It should balance back out shortly. The woke are getting are getting more and more screechy that they're being pushed back on, and will likely quit soon, and Ghosts of Tsushima, which fanboy Gaf will have to soon start evangelizing, actually looks like a cool game.
You're right on the button.

"Muh game is 10/10 if you don't agree you're a hater and salty bahahahah"

The weenie like fanboyism makes me tired. I lose all energy in my body when someone says "It's the best game I've ever played in my life."

I just dont see how going into a thread thats full of people shitting on a game you "like" (even though most of the usuals who love sony stuff have admitted they havent finished it) and saying OMG THE SALLTTTTTTTTT. Its not any better than the people shitting on it for no reason.

Like you both are fucking stupid.

Mini Tetris review:

Tetris DX is fucking badass and I can't believe I've never played this version. Profile saves, the classic modes - Marathon, Ultra, and 40 lines, vastly improved piece handling, rotation and locking systems from the original both reduce frustration/errors and speed up gameplay. Only downside is the lack of the song Korobeiniki. Where have you been all my life Tetris DX?

So I guess it was to be expected that the release of TLOU 2 would bring about waaaay too many threads. With any high-profile game this is bound to happen, also if the game is controversial in any way, and with the game being both, here we are. I'm not going to discuss the game (as there are several better threads to do that in), but just a modest proposal to the mods:

There are threads both for "fans only!" and "haters only!". I haven't kept up with either, because both are very cringeworthy, but it would be so nice for both threads to be combined. My popcorn is ready.

Tetris DS?

Tetris DS?

It's a pretty great version as well but I've never really sunk my teeth into all the modes, a lot of them were gimmicky. It's a bit easy for high level play because of the infinite rotation, but it still gets really fast. If I'm playing Tetris on DS I'm going to be playing the TGM3 bootleg.

Also forgot to mention that it's awesome that Tetris DX has this proto sleep mode thing where you can pause your game, turn off the Gameboy, and resume after turning it back on.

Sonic at least had the decency in game to erase itself from History.

SEGA also has no power to blockade bad reviews unlike Sony so it evens out.

0/10, Shit Story. Too diverse. Caters to Casuals and Lesbians.

Not on a SEGA System.

By SEGA Fan Boy.

/Am I doing it right?

OK can you explain tspins to me then. Because i have read a thousand times what their purpose is but why should i use them over just playing regular line clearing?

2 reasons basically. One, they're worth more points than regular line clears. And two, it helps you with piece positioning.

T-Spin setups are a really good way to rack up points, probably the "easiest" way to get an SS rank in TE's Ultra mode:

It's still quite difficult to set them up properly and execute, but if you do it right you'll blow by the SS rank threshold no problem. I find T-spin setups tedious so I just went for as many back to back Tetrises as possible, and it was extremely hard to get it that way because you have to play fast as hell and make almost no errors.

As for piece positioning, sometimes T-Spin opportunities just present themselves and it becomes easy to understand their utility. For example:

Let's say your field looks like the first picture, and you accidentally (or intentionally) place the O piece overhanging the T shaped gap. You can fix this hole by dropping in the T piece aligned like in picture 2, then rotating it once it's inside the hole so as to fill it properly. When you start getting better you'll start building overhangs and stuff that you know you can fill with tspins because this gives you more points and options for stack building as they can make room for other pieces that would have ruined your stack otherwise.

I appreciate the explanation. I guess my brain just finds it weird theres a different strategy to tetris. I mean its called tetris! its about them sweet tetramanios! (spelling!?)

I am not sure I can hardwire my brain different. But I do have TE. Maybe I will give it a go.

I look at it like just another stacking tool, sometimes you don't have the lateral room you want for a piece, so you make it an overhang and hopefully can slide something in and keep the stack clean. Playing the game for T-spin setups like that video I just linked is a whole other beast and not somethingI find particularly fun. Like you said, I'm all about the back to back Tetris line clears and trying to get faster.

You can do it! Definitely play TE it's amazing.

I guess that actually makes sense and I never thought of it that way. I always thoguht the idea of Tetris was that every piece has a place and you should always be trying to find that place where it fits if that makes sense. But even if you play it perfectly you are gonna screw up at some point and Tspins can be added to fix those mistakes. Maybe I have seen the Spin.
