All the articles about the game say its coming out next year, but all the listed release dates say november in the states. Which is it?

i don't really mind missing on the 3rd disc, as 3 and a half hours of cinema's doesn't sound like something i'd ever watch, but it'd still be cool to have. As long as we still get the 2nd disc (thats the one with the ports of MG1 and 2, right?), i have no problem dropping $50 for this (along with the new and improved camera, and online play, of course) since i never bought or played through MGS3.

everyone should email-bomb konami and ask for the collector's edition. they've neglected us too long, it's about time they give us an actual MGS collector's edition package. i'm sure there's quite a few people that would pay an extra $20 for whatever japan is getting

We won't get it because Kojima doesn't like us anymore for not buying enough copies of MGS3. Notice that for the first time a MGS was unveiled at TGS and not E3.

I thought it was unveiled at E3, or are you just saying the first MGS4 engined video?

I too have been waiting to hear a release announcement. I don't understand why there hasn't been one, unless it is going to be next year. Theyve said 12.22.05 is the Japanese date, so if it's coming here this year then why haven't they said so? At this point, I expect it not to come here first and maybe not even soon after.

MGS3 hits wicked rocks.

That's honestly an interesting point, but IMO it's more because American gamers became jaded and critical of the series due to MGS2 seemingly elevating pretentious bloviating over gameplay (not that this hasn't been said a hundred times already). I was/am still a fan, but obviously it eliminated a lot of the mainstream buzz, at least for US gamers. If Subsistence is seen as a reward to fans I can understand what you're saying, but if it's an incentive for people who may have been fans/may potentially become fans but were skeptical, certainly there should be a lot of those folks in America, especailly since it's generally accepted that MGS3 "redeemed" the series...Bataman said:
