Ah, who and I kidding. 3rd person view plus online play and this bad boy is a lock on the first day. GAF has to start a clan around this game, it's the only PS3 game that I could even give a shit about going online with.

Oh and does someone have a downloadable link to this? The yousendit file STILL doesn't work for me.

They have added what looks like a more traditional 3rd person camera as an option.

Besides having some of the texturing inconsistencies that plagued the 1st, this is definitely the version to get. The extras are worth the price alone, but seeing as how the PS2-mini has been selling with no HDD......... wait, the HDD isn't even needed is it?

nope. i remember it was mentioned somewhere that it would support the HDD, but I guess plans for that got scrapped

a shame too, cause this game loads great with hdloader

I haven't tried splinter cell multi though, so it might pull it off.

The Xbox port was all good. Slowdown was tolerable in the very few zones it occurred, and I dug playing with the Controller S. The 5.1 audio was handled pretty well too.

I got like 94% of the Snake Missions finished, those final MGS1 Snake challenges were a real bitch though, should polish the rest off sometime.

Shame the VR missions won't be back it seems. Snake VS. Moneky does nothing for me. I also miss the dogtag collection.

I find it funny that my most anticipated game of this year is something that I've already played. MGS3 with a 3rd person camera is exactly what the game needed to be last year's undisputed GotY.

So I can play the whole single player game in a RE4 stylee 3rd person view? Nice - I traded in the original because I couldn't get on with the top down thing. Top down is fine for gauntlet, but not games that scream for better situational awareness.

How does the multiplayer work? Is it counterstrike? Or 1 V 1 sneaking?

You mean you like the camera angles in MGS3? I'm only starting to play it but if there's one thing I can change it would be the camera. I can't see anything. o_o

RE games (except 4) have bad cameras, but that result in awkward control. You can still see what's going on. I'm not trolling or anything, just curious why people prefer that camera.
