Metal Gear Solid Collection vol. 2 In development

What annoys me is that they are so stubborn about dropping the price for Volume 1 on Steam. You can get it cheaper on the consoles.
 
I already have the PS3 collection which offered more value and cheaper, but I was interested to specifically play it on PC.

Needless to say won't be picking this up.

Not going to lie, still have my ps3 and the HD Legacy collection, there is no way I will sell that version....
Best version for all the games.
 
I have a gut feeling that Konami is saving Twin Snakes to be the skeleton of a Metal Gear Solid 1 remake that Virtuous will probably make.

Pretty sure it did, at least for the legacy collection, the only thing as voucher was the Metal Gear Solid,

The rest was on disc, and MGS4,Peace Walker was on the collection.

Also my legacy collection had the Metal Gear Solid Bande Dessinée...im pretty sure its not on Volume 1, i think?? Not sure since i still playing Metal Gear Solid on Volume 1, didn't check the rest of it

Yeah but Im sick of the plebs shipping it as the 'definitive' version of MGS1, its not, its dogshit and should be buried.

And yes AC!D has gameplay, its top down like classic MGS,you use cards for movement and actions, its still a stealth game and it still has a lot of what makes MGS iconic. Has some stellar bosses and mechs. Hugely underrated.

Same, i know nothing about game development, but from what i've read, because its a PS3 only game, it's like untangling a giantic ball of rubber bands to get it to run on current consoles and PC.

I never played twin snakes actually.

I always thought ACID was just a straight up card game. Your description is making me want to play it in the next collection.

Yeah man they are really fun and polished. AC!D could so easily be re-inserted into canon too since it happens post Shadow Moses and pre Philanthropy.
Both of them though have surprisingly good stories and twists with AC!D 2 being wild. They are soooo slept on.
 
I've been replaying the MGS series in order. I have a PS3 that runs and two copies of MGS4, but I'm going to wait for the Vol. 2 re-release before replaying. Hoping for better performance and a resolution bump. I know I could emulate, but I like the ease of console gaming and trophies.
 
The ending fight was so fucking awesome. From crazy Van Damme roundhouse kicks, to switching up life bar colours and music to the previous games.

I'm going to play Peace Walker HD again whether I need to emulate it or not.

It would be grand to have a Portable Ops with working controls.

The prize though is an MGS4 with a stable frame rate and minimal load times.

Is it possible even 17 years later?

Do you mean that everybody should have played every old game?

It is spoiler and as far as know directly from end sections of the game and this is not a spoiler tagged thread. Is it so hard to put it in spoiler? If it is so hard then by all means.

I'd absolutely spoiler tag normally, but 17 years man. Some people don't play games until 30+ years after release. Are we really going to be spoiler tagging Zelda 1.

While theres plenty of people going into a game for the first time after 20 years, its dumb to ask for spoiler tags because by that logic then you should never, even in 50 years reveal what happens in any game. Even if they havent played it, there were so many articles, videos, coverages and retrospectives of these games its hard to think there hasnt been anything spoiled yet.

Big boss dies at the end of MGS 4
Joel dies in TLOU 2
Aerith dies in FF7
The cake is a lie in Portal

Shoot me.

I have a feeling that the form MGS4 will take will be the rumored xbox 360 beta emulated for x86 because it will be easier for them than dealing with the ps3 code. like how they had to use a ps2 beta of silent hill 2 for that collection
