I'm in desperate need of the "!" sound effect (you know, the one that makes you jump out of your chair) from the Metal Gear Solid games, so I thought I'd turn to my fellow GAFfers and hope for the best! ^-^

Also, if someone happens to know where to get the QTE (the blipping sound) sound effect from Shenmue - give me the directions, please!

They offered the sound effect on the MGS2 ranking site...you had to get 100% dog tags and put in the clear code, then it let you access to some special rewards site that had wallpapers, sound effects and icons. I don't have it anymore though...maybe someone kept the sound effects. I'm pretty sure the alert sound effect was included

I had sound rips from MGS and I got the ones from the site wario mentioned as well for SOL..

I created an archive with most of the MG sounds I've made. It includes the MGS2 ones which sound a little different than the first. Give me a moment and I'll upload it.

BTW, these are the official ones that Konami gave out from MGS2 dogtag thingy. What Wario said.

Edit: Whoops, seems like Konami didn't include the "!" sound at all. Sniff.

Anyway, the files in the zip that were created on Nov. 14 are the ones from the Konami reward, the others are ones that I found/made.

Just for kicks, I just changed the sound for when I first recieve an IM to "!". Pretty funny to be watching TV and then nearly fall out of the chair in suprise when a friend says hi.

Thank you so much! Due to how awesome these sounds are, I immediately went on eBay and bought a USB cable for my Kyocera Slider so that I can add my own files/custom rings. :lol
