Hey guys, I need some help.
So my friend DBish and I just beat MGS3 last week which prompted us to give a go at playing MGS1 on my new PStwo. So we got a hardly touched copy from EB.
In our first play session, we made it all the way past the
, and then saved and quit.
Now when we're coming back to it a few days later, but when we went to load our game (from location "Nuke Bldg 1") it put us back at the very beginning of the game instead of the point in the game we were actually at!
At first we thought it was just straight-up sending us to new game because of a read error, but I just noticed that we have EVERY item and EVERY weapon in the game already, something we didn't have yet in our save! What the fuck?
Has anyone heard of this?

Okay, just now I thought "maybe this is some cheat we accidentally pulled off? Now that's a for sure no.
In the cinema at the beginning when Snake pulls out his binocs to take a look at the helipad, he actually selects his "Cigs" because of how many items he has (my guess is that the code says 'use item 1' or some shortcut), then instead of the cinema of watching the area, you see Snake ducking and crawling all over the place as he adjusts his "goggles" with the controls (but has the cigs equipped instead of the binocs, so he just looks retarded). I hope you all followed that, because it was pretty hilarious looking over here.
Can someone offer us some advice?
