MGS3 PAL question

Anyone knows if MGS3 PAL has a mode to run on NTSC TVs? Because I am really considering to import with the extras that this version will have. The Demo Theater was simply too funny in MGS2.

No metal gear game (pal) has had a 60hz NTSC mode in history, so I doubt it. Typically Konami are not very good at including this option.

It will most likley be PAL 50hz, but optomised.

Erm, I don't think ANY PAL GAME HAS EVER had an NTSC mode. 60hz PAL yes, but not NTSC. ..?!?

It would be good if all next gen consoles could do what Debug (and presumably some modded) Xboxen can currently do, which is swap between ntsc/pal and resolution etc, as you please.

Running anything PAL in the US is a pain in the ass.

Wrong, the PS2 can ONLY output a 60 hz signal in NTSC. The PS2 cannot do PAL 60. If you select 60hz in a PAL game on a PS2, you get NTSC.

Wow. I didn't know that...

All games should have the option to choose the standard.

Also -- I have the PAL ver of MGS3 here and basically there's no 60hz/ntsc mode to be found. The optimisation for PAL is good though.

Don't you mean Casting Theater? Which lets you swap character models in cutscenes? Well sorry to break it for you, but that's not included in the PAL version of MGS3... Only Demo Theater, which lets you watch the original cutscenes from the game without editing them.

Whats the deal with the Pal Version.

Im trying to book the Tin version but its nowhere to be found.

Only eb Australia are offering it on pre orders and as usual are charging full price.

Is that so? Then sales -1 (I already have the US version anyways but I'm a MGS fanatic.)
