No it can't. It's Metal Gear Online, not Metal Gear Solid 3 Multiplayer.

The max number of players is 8 right? I can't host due to some issues with the UDP so I dont know if it can be set to more than 8 partecipants but all the games I see on the server offer room for no more than that.
