Now that is one of the greatest athletes of all time, imho.

I think China's accomplishment is due to their hiring of foreign coaching for swimming. However, China has a pretty shady history of cheating in simple ways, such as altering birth certificates, and more complex ways, wanton doping.
Fuck it, I know so many people are thinking wonton doping.

And here is the difference between US cheating and Chinese cheating.
US cheating is generally by one coach/trainer for a handful of athletes. CHinese cheating involves governmental agencies.

If she does, it's a very new and a highly experimental kind.
The IOC has THE BEST doping tests - better than NFL, NBA, MLB and all other sports combined.
She's clean according to the tests.

Her coach is saying that she has a really good power/weight-ratio.
As the tests have come up negative, I'd say she's just an exceptional athlete.
It shouldn't come as too big of a surprise considering that China has over a billion of citizens - there's bound to be to be a ton of extremely exceptional people there.

I think the number of citizens leads to a proportionally higher number of exceptional athletes.

At the 94 Asian Games, 11 Chinese women swimmers tested positive for dihydrotestosterone; at the 96 Olympics they only won a single gold medal, and no positive tests. 98 World Champs and four swimmers tested positive, plus human growth hormone was found in a swimmer's luggage. Before the 2000 Olympics, China removed four women from its squad for odd test results and no swimmer from China earned any medals. At the 2004 Olympics, none of the swimmers tested positive and they earned one gold medal. That is a a lot of up and down in the medal count, and a lot of positive drug tests.
Like I said, I think they improvement lately is due to a change in coaching. But, they have a pretty bad history of cheating.

She swam the last 50m faster than Lochte did. Her overall time was more than 20s slower than his and more than 10s slower than the 8th place male swimmer.
Phelps smashed one world record when he was only 15 years old. And that record was previously held by a 16 year old.

We all know China is best a gold mining.
There have been more Americans stripped of medals for cheating. We might as well question their accomplishments and wonder if their coaches are doping them up.
