This would suggest they probably won't have answers regarding the key questions (DRM, used games) by next week. Which means it's probably still up in the air with third party publishers.

All they have to say is "We're still having ongoing discussions with our partners to ensure we come to a satisfactory conclusion for our customers", or something along those lines. Instead of just saying "We are listening", but not actually responding.

Like they have answers for anything anyway. Literally everything they say is reversed the following day and then that is reversed moments later.

So what, they just go on not mentioning it? They can't really risk having random figureheads like Harrison talking shit they don't want people to know about. That's why the roundtable would have been ideal to clear up those details.

My guess? They probably continue saying "We are still discussing possible plans and alternatives" or "Our used game policy is not concrete at this time."

I wouldn't be surprised if they did that song and dance up until September, honestly. I think they had a plan in place, what they were saying was met with bad reaction so they're trying to just sidestep it as long as they can.

They might have already made some promises to publishers, so maybe it isn't something they can go back on. Who knows. But there is no way they talk about a used game fee at their conference. No way. They're going to be very very vague, if they even bring it up.

This roundtable would have meant saying conclusively what the deal is. They obviously don't want to talk about it right now. So either they know it will be met with an extremely bad reaction that could "lose" them E3 in the eyes of the press and gaming community OR they're not sure how to proceed.

True. But they still changed the rules to avoid having their press conference be compared with the other two. That's significant because it was the one area they were going to look really bad in. MS had to be impressed how Nintendo decided to control the message better. This is how MS is controlling their weak point. Refusing to acknowledge it.
