I expect we'll see lots of games we all know are coming. Halo, quantum, etc. Gears is too early for anything other than a teaser trailer (VoiceOver and a logo) and I think we might see a new Battletoads. Other than that, I think maybe one or two new IP announcements and the return of Kinect pushing and TV pushing. Probably some sports in there for the bros as well. I really think it could be a good showing this year, but I still don't expect a phenomenal one.

I say it all the time but im pretty hopeful due to that tease, phantom dust will be one of the E3 announcements, his display pictures changes are usually consistent with what he's announcing and what he's aiming to do (the old retro xbox original symbol) it makes me think he's going to dig deep for original xbox titles.

Cool that we love 'em, but all you have to do is look at what they have done for the Wii U with one truly fantastic exclusive game to see that most people simply don't care.

3 months ago I just wanted a kinectless SKU for the price of a ps4. Now, I'm not so sure. I mean, the multiplats are not better on the One, there are fuck all games that interest me as of right now and unless they drop some serious E3 exclusive bombs, I'm not just seeing a reason to get one.

Second. I always watch Microsoft's press conferences live. There is more happening. If Microsoft wins it's due to KO. Sony only wins at TKO or by points. There's always more happening and there's more promises. It's always fun to watch.
What I expect? A few more Rare IPs handed out to other developers due to Rare not having any developers to make those kinda of games anymore. Some more old faces like a CG Gears-trailer. Halo. CoD. Etc. The boring stuff they think looks good but is ultimately a bore. A few secrets. Some cool announcement that Sony will copy and make for free in the coming year.
All that and a price cut and the painful lack of sales figures.

Well, what's the argument that's trying to be made here? That Platinum is capable of selling systems, or that a userbase that is composed largely of people that do not play Platinum-developed games will flock to a Platinum-developed game on a console?

Watch it happen. Mark Zuckerberg wants that expanded audience, Sony's got their own thing, so that only leaves Microsoft. Microsoft got that paper, and they need an edge. It won't be a huge blowout unveiling, probably just a slide with the Occulus logo and some corporate speech about a fruitful partnership. If I'm right, I am a god. If I'm wrong, you won't remember this anyway.

it really does everyone is expecting this from MS which is actually pretty terrible, I cannot for the life of me expect anything from Sony or Nintendo which is the exciting part - i want Microsoft to just flip the lid and for the first few minutes do all sorts of things no one expected then go with the typical lineup that everyone and there mother has figured out already.
He was probably reffering to Dark Souls 2, or the redesign the 360 got to match the X1.

I understand why some people are expecting a Forza/Gears/Halo/Fable snoozefest. But 2013 showed Microsoft going for funding other stuff (even if it arguably didn't turn out that well for the lion's share of the software).
I certainly hope that their reaction to being behind isn't to revert to that "safe" approach, but instead to double down on 2013's focus, with an eye towards better quality.

I think the focus will be on finally showing off games already annouced as CG trailers and reversing the damage to the brand. This will be a humbler more focused Xbox trying to turning perceptions around. What I expect to see
