Microsoft's AI spending is the reason for the changes at Xbox.

These tech companies are spending billions on AI but they are not getting anything in return. On top of that they are trying to outdo each other. Open AI is a scam. Brace yourselves because we haven't seen anything yet because these investors are expecting a return on their investment that probably won't be coming. Sam Altman is selling snake oil.

The issue with AI is people have invested 2.3 trillion dollars in something that is going to lead to poverty, so what is the point? none of these products or services they create will have a customer base as it's going to drive mass unemployment.

Why pay 2 hundred million and spend 5 years making a game when you can do the same if not better for $1 million and 7 days using AI

That sounds like more of securing managers/seniors jobs. That's the opposite of merit, cause it implies they don't care about how much money they make more than securing their roles.

"Too big to fail" (TBTF) is a theory in banking and finance that asserts that certain corporations, particularly financial institutions, are so large and so interconnected with an economy that their failure would be disastrous to the greater economic system, and therefore should be supported by government when they face potential failure...

in a finance-based economy, becoming too big to fail's the new epitome of success, & just about the entire western economy is now somehow leveraged on ai...

How about missing goals year after year.. that may have a tiny bit to do with it.
Between this and the crying over Bluepoint, it's honestly astounding how many people are missing the very simple fact that if you do not deliver, you don't get to keep going. Unless your name is Matt Booty, apparently.

Xbox has been a black hole in an otherwise profitable portfolio for Microsoft, and Bluepoint reached higher than they were apparently able to reach.

That is true to an extent. Free cash flow is an issue this year hence the firings and cuts. MS is spending like $200 billion in 2026 on AI data centers.
