Migraine Headaches

I have a horrible headache right now, and I know for sure it's not a migraine headache.

Still it got me wondering what causes headaches and migraines. Any GAF doctors, med students, or know it alls have any insight?

I'm not a doctor or anything, but I have been dealing with migraines for about 8 years now. I have been to so many Neurologist I could pass as one. Anyway, migraines can be caused by a number of thing.

It could be stress, heat, fatigue, chocolate, bright lights, etc. Some people have a direct trigger like the aforementioned examples, and some, like me, have absolutely no idea why they get them. They can be pretty scary sometimes to. I had few were the left side of my body became completely numb.

Out of curiosity what is the correlation between having a period and getting severe headaches.

I used to get migraines all the time in high school (I was on edge a lot; don't know why), and while I don't know how they got there, I do know how to get rid of them:

Take too many of them and your gutty-wuts will burn from the inside, but they work on migraines pretty good. If you want to get rid of the headache, you'd probably want to get away from the computer, because I bet that's what caused it--the brightness plus how close you have to be to the screen to read is very headache-inducing. What I did whenever I got a migraine was make sure my bedroom's all dark, lie down, put a cool rag over my forehead, and try to go to sleep. AND DON'T FORGET THE GOODY'S

Goody's works sometimes for me, but you are right, your stomach feels like its eating itself.

everytime I try to quit consuming caffeine, I get really bad withdrawl headaches that hurt as much as my migraines (where my head hurts so much I throw up). Sucks ass... but that Tylenol Migraine or whatever shit works really well for me.
