Feeling awfully judgemental for a company that wants your business.
I thought this sort of "bikini babes selling beer" thing, along with E3 "booth babes" was lame corporate pandering, and it generally had the opposite effect on me. Personally, I always disliked overly sexualized advertising, but wow was it ever better than being lectured.
However, if you do like seeing girls in bikinis when buying your beer, that doesn't make you wrong, and it doesn't make you a bad person. Different things appeal to different people, and that's fine. Judging people for their opinions with this weird retroactive slut-shaming isn't fine. Every one of the women who posed for these pictures made the choice to do so, and I'm sure many are still proud of their accomplishments today.
So yeah, if you don't like being lectured and shamed, don't buy Miller Light either. How about some nice water? It's good for you, and it doesn't come with an agenda.
Also, "among the first" when you're talking about two groups, means you were last, not first, not "among the first." Last. You were last at something that I didn't even know we were keeping score of, because it doesn't matter in the least. Who cares what gender started brewing beer first? I would say it's people less focused on human achievement, or even individual achievement, and instead focused on this type of needless divisive polarization. In other words, people like the ones who made this ad.
