Which one have you missed more your old car or your old computer

Computer. My old laptops had features that my current MBA M1 doesn't, and I do miss them at times.

I recently bought a new car and frankly, after a week, I could barely remember ever having the old one.

I haven't owned a pc in quite a while, back when the 1080gtx was the monster card on the market so I'm gonna say pc.
I've always owned a car and I don't give a shit about them other than the ability to convey me from point A to B and having a cold blowing AC in Florida.
I'd like to have a pc again for my Steam library, but I'm patiently awaiting a Deck 2 from Valve.

My old car

I used to have an X reg Mini. Perfect condition bodywork, cherry bomb exhaust ( :messenger_tears_of_joy: ), and a sub in the boot.

The clutch went down a side road one day, I left it there, two days later some dick heads tried nicking the exhaust. Four days after that, I just scrapped it..

I wish I'd bloody kept it now. But I was a young dickhead who wanted an XR2.

In regards to computers it's always been a case of onwards and upwards.

I only owned an Audi TT as a car and I can't drive anymore so VAIO PCs. I miss their design so much.

Had a 2004 Tahoe, put 220,000 miles on it before I sold it. It was a great roomy SUV. I enjoyed driving it.

I had a '95 Honda Prelude Si for many years that I absolutely loved:

It was 5-speed and zippy. My first manual transmission - so good. My wife made me sell it when our kids were babies for a Lexus sedan that had a back seat.

Now that my kids are teenagers, I recently bought a 6-speed Q60S to get back that feeling (this is not mine):

I've never felt any connection to the computers I've owned because they're all just boxes that sit under the desk and run Windows.

Computer, I guess. Neither really. My old car was a pure utility vehicle - I enjoy my current vehicle. Nothing much I particularly miss about my old computer.

My car.

Thr first car I ever bought brand new off the lot was a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Rally OZ manual transmission. The car went with me all over the USA and Europe (military) and I never had any issues; just standard maintenance work. Unfortunately, the moonroof had a failure while driving, came loose and ripped off. Couldn't get a replacement or repair because the dealership I bought it from had apparently installed it themselves so there was no proper replacement and it'd have to be completely replaced. As this was a surprise "bill" I didnt have the finances to repair it nor did I have a place to store it until I could. So I had to let her go in 2018 😞

I would've gladly kept that car my whole life. The sentimental value of that car far, far exceeded its monetary value.

Neither, I'd say. I guess I had an attachment to the very first computer I built. At least until I tried dual booting red hat Linux and corrupted my MBR.

I like the car I have now, I guess. But both are just kind of tools.

I miss my old Dell 2400 with Windows95 and AOL4.0 every day of my life bros. I miss a manual transmission a lot but that PC had it all! Manual hook ups for anything around the house colored aqua green and light purple (wtf is a usb?), shitty trackball mouse, heavy thicc M781p monitor, and the sights and sounds when you are connecting (or better yet when you learned how to silence that screech). Nostalgia overload, also Mbit overload, I can still smell it whirling up to speed (my ma blew up the new airfryer so my house has that scent right now).

I've had a few cars since then, but I never had a PC like that one.

Definitely miss my cars. Mustang GT, Pontiac Grand Prix GTS, Pontiac Sunfire (manual), even my super comfy yet powerful v6 Buick Lesabre. I had some great memories gaming on older pcs though. Cars were better back then, computers are better now than before.

Neither. I have fond memories of old stuff, but not really miss them.
But I do miss my old house, it was a a quieter area and had a big backyard.

A grey Mitsubishi Pajero from the 80's. I also had a Land Cruiser at one point but I miss the Pajero more.

I used wheel spacers and cut the suspension giving the car a lower and mean stance.

I had a teal 96 Pontiac Grand Prix which I just loved. Unfortunately, it got destroyed by a drunk driver who t boned me at 50 mph.

It could have been such a cool car if it had a nice V8 in it instead of that shit V6
It was a cool idea to try and get back to the roadsters of the 50s and 60s. But it was just awful execution. Plymouth makes bad cars. I know I had one. I had a Plymouth Sundance. It was garbage.

Cars by far, I'd pay a lot to have some of them again. They would make good old/youngtimers and I'd appreciate them even more for being analog in a very digital automotive world.

My high school car (late 80s): 1967 Mercury Cougar. Factory air, factory power steering, nice interior, good ol' Ford 289 engine in it. I was the 2nd owner.

That car just didn't want to live. Kept getting popped. Finally the passenger side got T-boned, and I just didn't have any more in me to fix it. Sold it to a friend of a friend, who loved it. Got it up and running, and ... wrapped it around a tree.

Some cars just are doomed. That was one of them.

Your level of caring for a computer depends on the amount of distance it is from a car?

season 5 what an odd thing to say GIF

(yes, I knew what you actually meant)
So true

My first car was a 68 mustang that my dad and I did a frame up restoration on it in high school. I loved that car so much. I literally have a picture of it on my wall beside me right now. Took us 3 years from start to finish. Good times.

I miss my first car from when I was 18 (Below). VW Golf GTI. One of the reasons I won't sell my other car now, I know I'd regret it. So I keep her in storage whilst I use my daily driver.

My old computer. It had pictures on it that I don't have on anything else as I uploaded it from my camera to my computer and with technology upgrades, said cameras went out of date and my computer situation ended up being a limewire casualty and then laptops came in to my life.

I had a bright orange 1976 Camaro that I absolutely loved but I outgrew it. I'd love to have another one now that I can afford it.

Cars. They die a slow and painfully expensive death after years of loyal service. You do miss them. Computers get dropped for a newer better model because they get slow and incompatible, you're glad to see them go.
It's like comparing old dogs and ex-wives.
