Looks cute, but why the rampant desire to make these outdated bit looking games? I grew up with that shit why regress to shitty graphics? It isn't nostalgic anymore it's just outdated. Game would be more enjoyable with clearly hand drawn visuals and hd graphics. Tired of these throwback looks /rant

It's not for everyone that's for sure. I have a soft spot for this graphic style. I even loved the style of Skald: Against the Black Priory.

But even I can agree that that it can be a bit hard to read graphically.

Hmm, have I become a gaming hipster?
Nahh, must be everyone else. 😁

Can't wait for this. I'm pretty sure I backed the kickstarter on this, actually.

With the amount of complexity of gameplay systems, they really should have gone 16 bit retro instead of 8 bit. Also I hate the mouse.

Surprised this isn't getting more attention here, thought Shovel Knight was an amazing game and am quite hyped about Mina myself.

Game looks very high quality and polished, and I love the obvious Zelda LA visual style. I'll try the demo later today on the Steam Deck.

If the gameplay is as tight as it looks, it's going to be an amazing experience.

Looks okay, but I can't help but feel like a team of professional developers should have more visual ambition, especially when you see that this game has been announced for what, 4 years maybe ? I am really not a fan of these 4 colors palettes.

Or otherwise, make a real GBC game and put it in an emulator.

Played like 20 mins of it earlier today before I left for the gym. I enjoyed what I played. Chose the hammer weapon. Need to play more before I can form an opinion. Has a lot of promise. Also it ran great on the Steamdeck.

Really an interesting choice of protagonist. The gameplay is actually fun, but I just couldn't warm up to it because of the mouse. You can't create an iconic character like shovel knight every time but this one is just awful. I've added it to my wishlist after playing the demo though.

The burrowing mechanic is the star of the show. It acts as a way to "run", dodge and jump long distances. All in just a single button! It takes a bit to get used to but it has a touch of genius once it clicks.

Just had a run through the demo, was just as good as it looks IMO.

Yeah, it's a stand out feature. I can only imagine the fuckery the devs will come up with in later stages to make sure we utilise it correctly.

Thanks EviLore EviLore for fixing the date.
