Minecraft passes 2 million sales

I've done nothing with my life except eat and fap
Oh, oh, oh, and we also passed two million sales! That’s HUUGE, and as usual I’m not quite sure how to deal with it! We’ve got a company dinner planned for Thursday night, and I plan on getting Jakob drunk. That would be fun.

sooooo, 3 million copies by the end of this year?

Bought the game late last year. Still haven't played it, but I feel good knowing I'm part of those 2 million+. Support where support is due, or something.

Whoops, locked thread thinking this was a dupe because the news is a day old, but I guess it isn't. Sorry!

Wasn't it you who moved the Harry Potter video game trailer to the OT the other day? Are you okay? :p

I've been playing a lot of Minecraft recently. There is a part of me that wishes I'd invested all of this time creating my world on a multiplayer server, as I'd like to share the experience with people.

I still don't get this game and how it became so popular.

It's like Warcraft, but with mines. Everybody bought it thinking it was Blizzard's new game.

Haven't really played recently, but i've put a fair bit of time into it and would like to start playing again soon.

I find MP more enjoyable than SP, but every server i've started building on has lost data or shut down, so i'm kinda discouraged from doing the MP stuff again.

I brought it last week.
Feels completely overhyped and overrated to me.

I think i would enjoy it more if there was a much more extensive crafting system with a ton of more items and enemies.

Also once you find iron it feels like you hit a brick wall in progression.

I guess people just like building shit with blocks.

I've not played it in a while but it's crazy to think this game has supassed 2 million sales. They deserve it for creating this addicting fun game.

It's addicting, it makes you feel awesome for conquering the wild.

This seems very extensive to me. And it grows constantly.

I Built castles, homes, farms, rivers, all of them monuments to my power. I shaped that world to my liking. Once I was done I looked over it and smiled as I saw all that I had created. Since then I have not returned.

Basically I put it to the side to play other games for a while. It is too time consuming. But it is good to see that it keeps growing

This game has got so much potential.

Im expecting randomly generated villages/castles with actual NPC's and shops. Stuff like dragons lairs and random quests, this could all be feasable and would give the game infinite replayability.

How does this even work?

I just want to support indie developpers, I buy lot's of indie games on the PC, iOS, PSN, etc. even if I rarely play them. I've always dreamed of developing my own games, so maybe when one day I grow the balls to actually quit my job and do it, I hope there's still a market for it.

I recently bought the game last week, since PSN was down and.. I needed something to do. Game is like fucking crack, I just can't get off it. Totally deserving of the 2 million.

Also, I have to praise its soundtrack by C418. Mining through a cave and finally reaching light, amongst a huge landscape and suddenly some amazing track starts playing.. it's just so beautiful.

Waiting for the actual release of this game.

So this mean you are waiting to pay more. The "final" version of the game (even if they said they will continue to improve it after the "release date") will cost more than what you can pay now. If I had an interest in the game (that is already more fun and filled with content than many "final" games), I would buy it now and save monies.

I love it and can't stop playing it.

Minecraft is the reason I don't give a shit about PSN being down.

Same here. I can't give a flying fuck about PSN or quite anything else lately.

I bought a gaming PC late last year. I was all hyped to play the AAA PC titles. Then I got Minecraft, and my interest for other games slowly faded. Skyrim will change it all though.
