Alright, so I'm gonna schedule a time for tomorrow for anyone who would like to get the 'Rail Me' achievement on my world. Don't know what time yet, but it'll definitely be in the afternoon (going by EST).

Seriously. I showed this to my roommate and a couple friends earlier. I get home from work 8 hours later and they're still playing it! Did some 3 player co-op for a bit, so much fun to raid and pillage each other's houses as you're first starting out. Good times man.

I'd like to join someone's world for that minecart achievement, but like someone said before me, it depends on the time since I'm from Europe :p

Anyways, my GT is Don Randy. I named my world Instant Street after my favourite song of dEUS, great band.

Finally got all the achievements. The pig drop achievement is super easy, just punch it to death when you have it on a saddle. The hardest/most annoying one was the rail road track achievement.

You sure that you used the right materials for fuel and ingredients? Because if you don't the furnace won't do a damn thing. Maybe you can test it with some wooden planks for fuel and raw wood as ingredient. That would make you some charcoal.

Is there a reason i keep finding so much redstone dust? I havn't used a single one yet i have like four stacks of it and keep finding more. Grrr I want iron not red dust.

For charcoal wood as fuel and wood as ingredient works just fine.

You can use it to make wires and circuits, I dunno about other uses.

Not an achievement whore by any means and only go for complete with games i really really enjoy and i finally got my last achievement today after 2-3 hours of trying last night and 2 hours today (the pig one) only to realize after i did it there is an "easier" way of creating a world under worstseedever.

Never knew about these seeds, what's the best world seed? i decided i am going to do a fresh start on normal (played about 20 hours of peaceful) now i want to experience the game with monsters (i did turn on monsters a few times to get bones/string) but always turned them off.

Also how do you stop monsters from spawning in your house when you are sleeping?

You have to fall it or it won't work, i tried punching the pig to death 20 times.

I finally got it by punching it 4-5 times until it finally ran off this cliff.

I was in your world earlier and went along the track but didn't get the achievement. Might try again later if you're on.

I just began playing this yesterday, so I'm still a complete noob, but I did manage to build me a nice seaside castle with a 3 story tower in the middle, a watchtower to the south, a watchtower built off shore, and an elaborate dungeon underneath the castle.

I have a question though: From time to time creeper spawn inside my castle walls. How can I stop this?

I allready started sealing off old mine shafts that I won't use anymore, and tried to light as much of the castle courtyard as I could but sometimes there's still skeletons and creepers coming in.

I just started a new mining operation south of my castle ( a bit more remote) to gather more resources to expand westwards as there seem to be some amazing looking lands there.

I swear I have like 20 different houses on people's servers at this point. I basically just dump everything I mined into a box before I leave each one. It's like living many lives at the same time, but on the internet. Just depends on who's online at the moment.

I played non-stop (literally, I didn't even stop to eat or go to the bathroom) from 7.30 this morning until now. It all started as "just one hour before starting my daily stuff".

My 10 year old daughter is absolutely hooked. She won't stop playing or talking about minecraft. This is a good game for kids. Makes them think.

On an other note, I've moved closer to the spot I found to mine. I've build myself a stone house this time and after dinner I'm going to expand my mine.

Ok, I am always putting online option on but I haven't noticed anyone join yet. Would be nice if it gave a notification or something rather than give me a heart attack to see some other dude run down my private home area where I feel safe behind my door. After I get any building worth showing off I will dump the name here...

It does give you a notification. Making an online game only opens it to friends though, not randoms.

It's nice since you can play split screen with kids/siblings as well...the LEGO games are another good option in this regard since if the kids get stuck the parent or older sibling can help them solve the puzzle. :)

*edit* I also read somewhere that the porting people used something other than Java for the 360 version, which again makes me wonder if there could ever be an XNA PC version released or something. Potentially increased performance for everyone!

If you build a furnace (it just takes 8 or so cobblestone blocks, I think - they're super-easy to build) and put some wood into it, the furnace will turn the wood into charcoal (which is exactly the same as coal).

so i bought this.

playing co-cop is way more fun than alone. especially with a girlfriend who isn't that great at games but loves this one. it's hilarious hearing her say things like "oh my god...i could literally never be done with this." or making plans for "tomorrow" when we have to go back inside at night to get away from the monsters.

Oh and holy shit that was long. I think I might have been only a third of the way there with my own track. My main problem is that I don#t have enough iron. I actually have more than enough of those tracks that speed you up.

You know I still think the PC version is better content wise but it really needs to introduce the crafting from the console version. It's os much more convenient. That's mainly why I like the Xbox release.
