Minor PC Upgrade question

ok I currently have an

XP 3000
Msi K7n Delta Mobo
and a gig (2x 512) of dual channel ddr 400

and THESE harddrives (2x) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148036

what I want to upgrade to is

CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice 1GHz FSB
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16819103531

MOBO:
MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130468

However under storage devices is has

Storage Devices
PATA 2 x ATA 133 up to 4 Devices
PATA RAID NV RAID 0/1/0+1 JBOD
SATA 4 x SATA 150
SATA RAID NV RAID 0/1/0+1 JBOD

Im guessing I cant use my current harddrives with this mobo? What kind of hard drives can I buy (note I really dont want to use the raid either, I dont HAVE TO use it on this mobo do I?)

Current Hardrives
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST3200822A-RK 200GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive

The PATA stand for Parallel ATA, which your drives are. The SATA (Serial ATA) are for specific SATA drives

You can connect up to 4 PATA drives (1 lines, both 1 slave, 1 master) probably the same as the mobo you're using now. I say you can use them.

as a side note, I would wait a couple of days at least on the upgrade. AMD just announced their new pricing (that is supposed to be effective today) which is as follows

[CPU] [Original price] [New price (August 1, 2005)] [Change]

Athlon 64x2 4800+ 1,001 902 (9.9%)
Athlon 64x2 4600+ 803 704 (12.3%)
Athlon 64x2 4400+ 581 537 (7.6%)
Athlon 64x2 4200+ 537 482 (10.2%)
Athlon 64x2 3800+ - 354 - (to be released 8/12)
4000+ 482 375 (22.2%)
3800+ 373 329 (11.8%)
3700+ 329 272 (17.3%)
3500+ 272 223 (18%)
3400+ 223 - -
3200+ 194 194 0%
3000+ 149 149 0%
2800+ 122 122 0%

You can either pickup that 3800+ for around $40 cheaper, pick up a 4000+ for a couple dollars more, or pickup an X2 for a couple dollars less (in single threaded apps the X2 3800+ will run a bit slower than the A64 3800+, but in multi-threaded apps or in the OS itself it should run a bit faster).
