how do you download using the ctcp command?

What are you trying to download off of? An xdcc bot? If so...

Get file list: /msg [bot name] xdcc list

To download: /msg [bot name] xdcc send [file #]




If it is an fserve they'll post the triggers in the channel. And once connected you use simple dos commands to navigate the fserve directories. dir, cd etc.

To download: send [file name]

its a fserve. i get connected but then when i type in send and the file name it says invalid file

are you in the correct directory when that happens? And make sure you enter the entire file name.

yea. i type cd<folder name> to get into the folder i want. then i typed dir to get the list

You could try: get [file name]

Both should work.

heres the filename i'm tryin to download. wcw.nitro.01.06.97.internal.vhsrip.vcd-w4f. i typed in all of that and it still says its invalid
