Mischief Makers was coolness.

I loved this game. I rented it about 5 times. Was never able to find it on sale ANYWHERE new or used.

Sure it groundbreaking, but it was fun to play, and very humorous.

Would it be too much to hope for a DS port?(I'd actually consider buying one just for this game), Or even less likely a Next gen remake, or (HAHA) a sequel?

check your local video stores that have n64 clearance...I got a copy (with manual and box) for like 3$ at my local video chain.

Shake, Shake.

It really was an awesome game. But when it comes to Treasure's works last gen, Sin and Punishment is on a whole other level.

The bosses where great, but collecting those yellow gems was beyond frustrating. Forcing the player to collect/earn those things just so they could see a second or two more of the ending for each was EVIL.

Yea, I remember that one. It was good.

The beauty of online shopping, it's out there, just get it.

Bought a copy of it as soon as it came out and loved it. One of my top favs from last gen. The music was awesome. The boss-battles were some of the coolest ever, and the last boss totally kicked so much ass. Great ending too. I feel like giving it another play now.

Yuke Yuke Trouble Makers iz a very rocking 2d game. Hurray to Nintendo for publishing it on western shores (boo for not publishing Sin & Punishment).

Btw, has anyone ever attempted to get an S rank on any level? I find it to be impossible.

yes. awesome game. one of the four or five reasons to own an n64 at this point. sin and punishment is phenomenal too. i like that nintendo changed the name to "mischief makers," as though "trouble makers" was too edgy. or something.

mejilan: enix published it in japan, nintendo published it here.

Ultra Intergalatic Cybot G M*A*R*I*N*A kicked ass. Mischief Makers was one of my favorite games on the N64. That game had some great dialogie/scenes, though it was a bit easy because you had so much health.

I managed to get A's on all the levels, but I never got a single S rank. Getting the A's on some levels was hard enough.

Did you guys get all the gems for the complete ending? I really liked how that worked, because it gave that game a lot of replay value. The ending was pretty funny too...
The Beastector all got changed back into their human forms (Phoenix Y was HOT). Marina got turned into a human as well (after turning into a red Panda first). The professor's expression at the very, very, very end is priceless.

Shake Shake!!

My video store has Mischief Makers I think....I already have a copy though.

If anyone is interested I could swoop it up for them?

I got one on the Bee mini-Boss level in the first world.

I collected all the Gems in this game and had a blast doing it. This game would be perfect for a DS version. Speakin of which is Treasure making any DS games at all? I would think they out of anyone would be able to think of some fun new unique ways to use the touch and dual-screen.

Mischief Makers, Bangai-O, Silhouette Mirage, Rakugaki Showtime and Radiant Silvergun would all make excellent DS games. I think I'd prefer quasi-sequels tailored to the platform though, like what Treasure's doing on GBA.

The game is great and I'm glad it came to europe. Too bad that it's the worst PAL conversion in history. No joke. Usually companies shovel games to europe and don't giva a damn about speeding up the game to match the NTSC release, but the person that converted this this game must have either been a hobby coder or the laziest sap known to man. Not only is the game slow, but the sounds and music are also screwed up as a result of the coder merely flipping the switch to PAL-mode and sending it to the factory.

I have like half S's and half A's I believe.

It and Blast Corps will sit forever in my 'to do pile' until I have perfect ranks on all levels.

This man speaks the truth.

Which reminds me... I really should have named S&P as the most underrated game of the 32 bit era, because so many xenophobic westerners refused to import the game even though it's in English, easy to play on a Western N64, and easily worth buying a N64 for. Not only that, but it's my favorite action game of all time. Mischief Makers is pretty cool too, don't get me wrong. But S&P is a celebration of gaming.

Maybe it has to do with "Mischief Makers" sounding better, as it's..what's the word... aliterative? (Where the first letter of each word is the same) over making it "less edgy."

I remember this being the first N64 game I played to any sort of depth... I borrowed an N64 from a friend of mine and he had this game. Loved how you "unlocked" the ending as you found more crystals... some of those crystals were a total bitch to get! Awesome game, and my second favorite N64 game, right behind naturally - Sin and Punishment.

I have the PAL copy but I found it pretty boring...at first, didn't play it a lot...Published by Enix in Europe...which is weird.

Enix published it in Japan, but Nintendo published it in the US. Enix and Treasure... that's my kind of team!!

Ahhh, I knew Enix was involved somewhere. Thanks. I KNEW I wasn't going crazy. Honestly didn't know about NoA's involvement in the US release. Props to them.

I guess I should plug it in one day, and play.
