His official site actually went down for a few hours, but is now up again without any news or updates. Strange.....but if it was a hoax, wouldn't they be the ones most likely to play along?
As much as I would like this to be one big gag, it seems increasingly likely that it's true. He was supposed to play a show in Baltimore tonight....what happened with that?
Am I the only one that can't believe he was 37? For a guy that supposedly was on and off drugs all his life, he sure did look young. I would have pegged him as being in his early thirties, at the oldest.

Haven't some of the clubs he was supposed to be playing in the near future started issuing refunds? I mean, I guess he could've faked them out, too, but it seems like they'd be pretty pissed.

No one is going to believe this until they see a dead body, and that's stupid. Let the man rest, he wouldn't want the world thinking he'd do something as lame as faking a death. He's far too funny and clever for something that weak.

With the combined DNA of Hunter Thompson, Johnny Cochrane, Mitch Hedberg, Terry Schiavo, and now the Pope we could fashion a world leader that would love guns and drugs, win the big trials, is funny, gets coverage on Fox news, and is a beloved religious figure worldwide. This speculative superperson could, in theory, punch George Bush directly in the nose on live television and be applauded. I see no downside.
