Translation shamelessly stolen from TXB :
I'm now making a game for a "next generation console". It's of a scope I could have never imagined before, with so many people involved and more countries and nationalities involved in the development.

Just recently we've finally been able to exercise the real power of the game we're making, and I can't help but be flabbergasted by the visuals we're putting on the screen. I'm so excited every day.

It feels so thrilling to be making something new. We can only hope that our excitement and passion for this game rubs off when it is finished and you are able to play it, and hope that you jump on the next generation of games. I don't think there will even be a comparison to previous generations.

I wonder if I have ever been this excited about releasing a game before?

It was only a year ago that I came to Seoul to meet Phantagram's Sang Youn Lee and now here I am in Seoul.

We have lots of developers who came over here from Japan, and they're living and breathing the culture.

Maybe this was destiny. If everything goes well, this will be a great precedent for our industry.

Wish us the best - we are going to be trying hard.

It's hot here just like Japan! I get to go back to Tokyo this weekend.
Exciting stuff :) I hope they will have some realtime stuff next week !

The only other time I've been this excited for a game is waiting for SF2 to come out for the SNES and for SFAC to come out for Xbox. I hope hope hope hope hope this is far enough away from launch to get the proper love and care it needs but not too far away.

the screens and scans look awesome. cant wait to see this one in motion. kingdom under fire was great, but with mizuguchi and crew working with the KUF team, i'm expecting AAA.

I really hope 99 nights turns out great as I like what they're trying to do with the whole collaboration thing.

Either way, hes got my stagnant 360 excitement rising again :D

Another update from IGN..

Mizuguchi reveals that Ninety-Nine Nights takes place in a world populated by many different races, including humans and goblins. The peace that once existed in this world gave way to war with the fragmentation of a special orb. The game tells the story of a group of warriors who are caught up in this fight.

Ninety-Nine Nights features multiple main characters. Depending on the character you chose at the outset of the game, you'll end up working through a different story path. Famitsu reveals two characters: Asfa and Infa. Asfa is a blonde-haired male character who wears blue armor and holds a blue weapon. Infa is a red-haired female dressed in red and wielding a long, red sword.

Story is at the center of Ninety-Nine Nights. Mizuguchi asks that we look forward to the amount of story in the game, stating that one of the project's goals is to move players, emotionally. Each character in the game originates from a different group having different customs and has a different stance on world events. You'll get a feeling for this aspect of the game the more you play.

The story's structure looks like it will be pretty complex. The individual stories for each character are closely connected. In addition, the storyline features branching points. You'll have to make choices about which path to follow, each one having different consequences. The development staff is working to fine tune the amount of branch points in the storyline so as to best benefit the story.
