According to Baseball America, MLB is likely to expand to 32 teams with the addition of expansion teams in Montreal and Portland. They propose decreasing the regular season to 156 games and expanding the postseason.

Portland having a team would be awesome. A division of Anaheim, Oakland, Portland, and Seattle would be so much better for the Ms when it comes to travel.

I don't like their ideas about playoffs or getting rid of leagues. Just have portland in the AL and montreal in the NL, and have 4 divisions in each league. As for playoffs they'd have to get a little creative to get more teams in the playoffs. I'd say do it like the NFL but a bye week isn't really an advantage in baseball.
