Great show, don't have USA so I barely ever get to watch it. But caught a shit load of episodes yesterday/today when I was staying at a friends. A good 24 hour marathon was going, I overloaded on it.

It makes sense to me that an obsessive-compulsive person would make a good detective, since they notice such little things. The humor is pretty good too, and not over the top like a lot of shows.

Ah, great show. Some episodes are very clever, I can appreciate a good detective story.

Thanks for starting this topic; picked up Season 1 on DVD on Thursday for $26 Canadian and felt the need to sing its praises.

I have seen bits and pieces of Season 2 through ABC reruns in the past year, but would REALLY like to pick it up on DVD. But, while I enjoyed getting a deal on Season One, I don't see myself spending the $45 on Season 2. I might break down and do it though...

Disappointed to see that Bitty Schram left the show though...she was an integral part of the dynamic and I don't know if "I Co-Starred with Ryan Reynolds on a crappy TV Show...and accomplished nothing else" can fill her shoes.

I didn't catch the last season, but absolutely love the show. I was driving the other day when I realized that he wears a checkered shirt so he doesn't have to wear a tie.

From all indications, it's a "Moving Away" or "Extended Vacation" scenario. In other words, the effect that such an event would have on Monk is ignored. Ugh.
