vladimir guerrero.

that's about it.
You kidding? Do a little more digging...seems to me that a lot of big players were once on the Expos over the years...not to mention that the Expos get screwed by strikes :D

EDIT : Well recently? Well that is a different story ;P

you've got...

-vladimir guerrero (almost guaranteed legend status when said and done)
-randy johnson
-pedro martinez (not technically an original expo but he only had 1 full year before montreal and he was a reliever)

not legend material but very good players:
-moises alou (not a legend but very good)
-larry walker (same as alou)

and the still young, but possible legends in the making:
-carl pavano
-javier vazquez

so technically its really only randy johnson but he only pitched about 50 innings for the expo's before being traded to the mariners. it's not as great of a list as you might think.

Cliff Floyd, Moises Alou, Marquis Grissom, Larry Walker, Pedro Martinez, and John Wetteland were all part of the 1994 Expos team that had a very good chance of winning the World Series. As a result of the strike, they were forced financially to trade away or let their star players go into free agency. It's a shame, because the strike totally killed baseball in that city.

*edit* Rondell White too, but he stuck around a while after they were all long gone.

I'm talking all the all-star caliber players that were once in the Expo's system in the last 15 years or so that left due to economics

Oh, and they didn't lose Randy Johnson due to any type of league salary discrepancy. They traded him to Seattle in 1989 along with a few other players to get Mark Langston, one of the MLB's best pitchers of the time. Kinda sucked for them when he didn't re-sign after the season.
