More random GAF GBA Micro price speculation.

it doesnt make any sense

no regular gb support

smaller screen

no flip top whatchamacallit

the form might be smaller, but it doesnt cost them any more to produce it. It will be less.

I agree. I highly doubt this will be more then the SP. Wouldn't make sense.

lazy- smaller doesn't always cost more. Knowing Nintendo they may have simply found a smaller more cost effective way to build a gameboy advance.

the form might be smaller, but it doesn´t cost them any more to produce it. It will be less.

I can´t give you any reason why it´s more expensive. But marketings guys from NOE are pretty sure of this (they haven´t a final price, but when they "think" it will be more expensive than SP I´m sure is because they know something or they never would have tell me such thing).

Furthermore, it´s Nintendo (you know, the ones that sell games like Mario Bros for 20 Euros)

Even if it is less expensive to produce, which of course it is not, this is a new product and will debut at a higher price than the GBA and SP.

Duh.

We shall see.

There are some pretty significant minuses for it to cost more IMO.

The screen may be nice but it's much smaller. No Gameboy support.. etc..

Thats a pretty big deal to me.

Yes but miniaturizing technology costs more! The screen may be smaller, but it has the same resolution as the normal GBA screen. Denser pixels = expensive! Smaller processor = expensive! Smaller, more efficient battery = expensive!

I don't understand why people aren't aware of this. Look at the iPod mini vs. the normal iPod. The cost per gigabyte is significantly less with a regular iPod than the iPod mini. That's because iPod mini's smaller 1" hard drive is damned expensive!
Plus the Micro screen is backlit, not frontlit like GBA SP.

Plus they've said they were aiming more at the image-conscious consumer. "Look, I'm Cool" stuff are almost always priced at a premium :P

So I'm predicting $99, maaaaybe $79. $50 would sweeten the deal for me, but I'm not expecting that price.

I can't see it being more than $80 and a price drop on the SP or having it remain at $80 alongside the Micro makes a lot of sense too.

Either way, I'm getting a Micro. It's small enough that it'll be going in my pocket every day opposite my keys in the other front pocket and my wallet in the back one.

I think the least it could go for is $69. They know they'd make the most money out of it at $79, and I think that's as high as they could go. They'd probably offer the play yan bundle sometime later for about $119 and possibly a $10 price drop.

So my prediciton:
SP: $59
Micro: $79
Micro w/ Play-yan: $119

Alot of you people are forgetting business 101, "You sell at what the customers see's as a fair price, not what you think it should" the micro may cost more to make, probabley not alot more than a sp, but the average joe will see it as a slight downgrade, noveltey thing. $59 my money is down.
