Say hello to Aquaman...

Alan Ritchson has been cast as Aquaman for The WB's Smallville, sources close to the show have confirmed for The Continuum.

Attempts to get official confirmation from the network were not returned.

According to E!, Ritchson is a model and a singer, as well, who landed a lead role in Lions Gate's The Harvest as well as a part in Beowulf. He is a native of Niceville, Fla.

Sources told The Continuum that Ritchson can swim.

The character will be featured in an episode titled "Aqua," which will likely air during the November sweeps.

I may tune in for this one.

As a Smallville fan, I'd have to agree about the Kryptonite car episode being the straw that broke the camel's back. The show could have redeemed itself if Pete was killed by the FBI...but alas it did not occur.
