I'm surprised no one posted this yet, or maybe I did not search correctly. Anyway, it looks like we will be getting more than Shadow the Hedgehoc as a new game in the Sonic worls this year :

Well, besides Shadow the Hedgehog (which may be multiplatform) there's also Sonic DS confirmed for release. There's rumblings about a new Sonic Gems Collection too...

A) CD, Fighters, and other random titles put into a collection?
B) Sonic 1-Sonic3 & Knuckles done in 2.5D or 3D?
C) A new title meant to be a companion piece to Shadow?

No. Ethan Einhorn actually said that Sega is interested in satisfying their fanbase. How long have people been asking for SOR4 and a great arcade compilation set? How can they satisfy their fanbase when the company keeps playing hopscotch with PSO? Sega should have named their consumer games department to Schizoprenic R&D.

what fanbase is left anyways. They'd be better off trying to make a new fanbase for their new games, then hit them with the compliations and titles like SOR4, of which I still have a hard time believing anybody gives a fuck about, nobody remembers the Genesis games anymore outside of the minscule hardcore community. The mainstream would have to be made to care with marketing.

Yeah, there's three new games coming this year.

Shadow the Hedgehog
Sonic DS
Sonic Gems Collection.

There might be one more game for the Gamecube, but I think that rumor turned out to be the new Shadow game.
