Most hateable character in TV history?

WTF, Kira is probably the best female character on any Star Trek series. Not probably, IS.
 
It's disturbing what passes as stronf female character.

Karen is a conniving unethical shallow self serving bitch.

Kira suffered from buffyitis, aka I'M SO STRONG THAT I TURN TO PUTTY AND FALL UPON MAN AFTER MAN. Ohh mistah prophet man me rove roo rong time. On top of that her mere presence on camera was annoying. Angsty angsty! And people say she was lesbian too? Glad I missed that.

and Tara? Tara was just a clone of Willow, who was a GOOD characer, but two Willows is too many and very annoying. Plus, she was part of a cheap ratings ploy, one that of many signs that signaled the end of a good series.

I don't know how any of that constitutes a strong female character.

Touche, criticism retracted. I have to agree with you that Aeryn is a great example of a strong female character.

QFT. Pulaski was such a blatent McCoy rip-off. They even made her transporter phobic. All of the other characters on the show, including Crusher, respected each other. You could tell that the crew members couldn't stand being around Pulaski. When she wasn't mocking Data she was arguing with Picard. What a bitch.

Couldnt agree more. I feel sick everytime I see sherry. Penny Johnson did a fantastic job acting put the character.

her extreme arrogance, control freak nature, and general attitude grate against me and are basically a culmination of every personality trait I can hate in a human being. Then we start throwing in specific moments like:

Being willing to sacrifice factual militaristic and suvival advantages for the sake of weird religious halucinations and dreams? Coming to the absolute certainty that she is somehow a chosen one? At that point the evidence and arguments on her berhalf are so beyond absurd that even if she is right no one in they right might should let her get away with it. She should have been slapped stupid ages ago. And yet they let her get away with it and let her get her way? No. God damn it NO!

Then we thrown in further moments of extreme hypocrisy that only a personality like this can deliver. She goes on and on about how a proper/just/whatever government is needed and you can't just have militaristic control. But then what does she do? She tries to steal the election. Meaning all she really meant was 'it is only proper that I be queen. Why can't you all see that I am the only possible savior for man kind for no reason other than because I believe I'm awesome?'
I have been waiting for this character to die a slow and painful since like halfway through season 1, and if she does ever die I will laugh with glee and spend the rest of the week in euphoria.

I know people who even outright refuse to watch BSG because of their hatred for Roslin. So I know I'm not the only one.

edit: I can't even type this corretly. I being to shake with rage as soon as I start to think about her character.

Well, he's a Mexican guy played by some dude named Ned, so I just figured he's in on a technicality.

In the realm of characters that are admittedly nonfiction, either Livia or Janice Soprano takes the cake. Janice is more annoying, but Livia was just downright evil and manipulative.

Still have to respect and give Diana Muldaur some props. She never let her name be put in the opening credits amongst the rest of the regular cast and insisted on a guest credit the whole season. She knew what the gig was and probably realized upon reading the first script that the character wasn't going to work - or just even realized herself that it was a rip-off. Honestly, if I'd been McFadden I'm not sure I'd have come back after being dumped for one season to try and make a female McCoy, but it probably is the best paying gig she ever had since she was mainly a dancer and "movement" person.

Dear GOD do I agree with you. Other than the fact that it sucked, I haven't watched season 7 again because of these annoyances. And I've seen all the other seasons probably a half dozen times now.

Uhh, who are they? File name doesnt make it very evident (not to mention they look ridiculous as hell). The lack of Paris votes so far shocks me. Seriously, no one else has been forced to watch Gilmore Girls and wanted to pull their hair out every second she is on the screen? I think I remember calder saying as much before too.

Buffy season 7 - the "potential slayers", basically a dozen annoying bratty bitches that just ate up time. Far more of them should have died.
