Last I heard of Mother 3 it was slated for a GBA release. Even if it's a port of the GBA game with touch screen menus I'd be over that shit so fast.

As cool as this would be, since Mother 3 has been presumed for just about every Nintendo system since the SNES.... I believe this is more a placeholder akin to those "already written obituaries" that news-sites do...just in case.

I hope it's a mistake. I'm not willing to shell out the cash for a DS just yet. They've been working on it for a long time for the GBA, and that's where I'd like to see it. I'm a 2D elitist, though. Have there been ANY screens for it yet? I read the Shigesato Itoi interview when Mother 1+2 came out where he mentioned Mother 3, but that's all I've heard of it. I hope they have some specials with Mother 3 as they did with Mother 1+2. I've got my GBA with the Mr. Saturn strap right here

Why? Nintendo has great translators for the kind of game Earthbound is; have you played Mario and Luigi? And I'm sure enough diehard N fans would buy it, not to mention good RPGs sell systems.
