The 1989 hit film starring Cheers veteran Shelley Long is in the process of being followed up at Tri-Star, according to a Friday report from Deadline .

Troop Beverly Hills will be getting a sequel.

The 1989 hit film starring Cheers veteran Shelley Long is in the process of being followed up at Tri-Star, according to a Friday report from Deadline.

The director will be Oran Zegman, an Israeli filmmaker based in Los Angeles, in her feature directorial debut.

Ah yes the Shelly Long classic Troop Beverly Hills. We have been waiting 31 years for this but its finally here.

Better late than never I guess. TBH I actually do remember seeing this movie but don't remember too much from it. I think there was some sort of race/scavanger hunt at the end.

Depending how the director plays this it might be “okay”. I think a lot of the mystery of what happens in Beverly Hills is gone. If the studio is pandering to the Kardashian crowd then it might turn a profit, but a lot of people will probably pass on it.
