Movie Memorabilia

Bad spelling aside, does anyone know much about how movie memorabilia sells? Both in auctions and just in general? I recently came across a legitimate tape that has a trailer from Shrek 1 on it (it's a tape that's official).

Seriously though, I doubt its worth more than $10, if even that.

Yes, yes, I was redundant. As far as legit, it's legit meaning the VHS wasn't recorded from a commercial or anything. It was one of those mailing ones that's sent out to movie press. Correction, to the last bit.

Wow, you got a press tape. A winner is you!

Almost as big a winner as you. ;) I don't care what it is, I'm just asking what it would be worth, if anything.

With that said, anyone know?

Too dumb for the internet
I don't know for a fact, but I would guess that it's worth very little. Less than $5 probably. The trailer is readily available on DVD so it's not something that you can't watch anywhere else, and the only difference between what you you have and someone else putting the trailer on a VHS tape is some sort of label.

If you had the original trailer, that would be worth a little bit, but you can't sell them on eBay anymore. I used to, but they always bitched about it being studio property, even though you just toss them after you're done in most cases. It wasn't worth fighting, that's for sure.
