Originally set to be a hard "R" action movie for adults, it looks like Fox got a little scared after the Kingdom of Heaven bomb so the movie has been cut down to a PG-13 family friendly summer action movie.

Well, there's always the DVD...

Are you sure about that? I mean, I saw reports that it'd get a PG-13 well before Kingdom of Heaven came out.

It was targeted as an R from day one. It was seriously cut down.

Well, there's always the vastly superior Hitchcock film by the same name.

(yes, I realize that this new one is only loosely based on the original)

The trailers never seemed like it would be anything but PG-13. Just seemed way too light.
I believe this. And sorry, Mana, but I'm very skeptical of your "elite Hollywood insider" info.

Nooo! Keep your pg-13 Angelina in tomb raider prepubescent little boys. I want hardcore rated R lion sex Jolie! But yeah, this has always looked pretty light, though the few moans in the trailer gave me hope. But I guess women moan when they fight... I think I still may go see this though.

I remember my brother telling me a while back that this was supposed to have one of the rowdier sex scenes in recent memory between Pitt/Jolie. This was back when the whole infidelity thing was breaking in the tabloids earlier this year. Thats weak sauce that they cut it, but then again Jolie never does anything beyond topless supposedly because she has some kind of tattoo over her na-na.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!

What the fuck are they going to do, have them find Jesus at the end of the movie?

Fuck.

:lol

These idiots just lost my money. I'll wait to rent the unrated DVD.

edit: Now I think about it the european cinema version could be uncensored. Let's wait and hope...

Eh, it always seemed to me like a lighter "Jason Bourne"-kind of movie, ever since the very first teaser. I call bullshit on Manybyte's pseudo sources.
