I'm not a fan at all of celebrities getting involved with politics though. At least they weren't so much campaigning as just getting people to register. Still though, their stance is obvious.

Within the dorms? If so, then yeah, there might be some hypocrasy. Outside of dorms though, I'm not aware of any colleges that really prohibit solicitation, provided it doesn't provide any security issues or disrupt normal university operation.
