(I did not upload this, credits to whoever did)

To keep things short:
-Animation/Player programming is rough
-What is the point of having 3 different campaigns and promising "survival-horror" gameplay if they're all action packed ?
-Co-op: It seems the co-op NPC only appears in cutscenes (in-game and non-interactive ones)
-QTE everywhere
-Dual-wielding confirmed
-Back-on-wall surfaces more prominent
-Is it me or have they tried to make Leon's partner look like Claire ?

Update: New footage with Chris and Jake www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un3__vU4O0A

Helena appears if you choose in-game co-op, I believe. Otherwise you can opt out of having a partner in the game when playing single player, though yeah it looks odd.

Anyway, the game looks great. I want to see Twin oaks footage though as that's where the real Survival Horror juice is for Leon's campaign. This footage looks like Shanghai which is more action-packed (Chris is also here).

So if this is Leon' Survival Horror campaign, is Chris' section full-on Gears of War and does Wesker's kid = God Hand?

Sad to say but the game doesnt look that hot anymore. I'm sure the masses will gobble it up like nothing. But the animation for Leon and the Zombies are horrible atm

Like I've said before, Resi has moved on. There's better games that can occupy the survival genre. Maybe in a reboot one day, Resi will return.

Well, that's in China, which has been said to be the actiony part. Tomorrow, I believe they are doing a demo of Leon again, probably at Tall Oaks.

But yeah, I thought it looked really good aside from some jerky animations.

You guys need to forget the old RE, it wont be coming back.

It looked like RE4-5 in a streamlined demo, not much to say besides it looks nice visually

looks so unpolished just what i expected when they said they will change the release date to october.

They could have just showed some pure survival horror footage instead of stuff exploding everywhere. This has to be the most disappointing thing about MS' conference, and I'm serious.

To Capcom,

Please stop changing your inferred definition of "survival horror", thank you. Ask old developers from Human Entertainment for their feedback too!

From Leon

That's my actual name, even. Crazy how things turn out.

Extremely disappointed with what they showed at the MS conference. I thought Leon was supposed to be the survival horror portion of the game? Running from exploding bridges, QTE helicopter segments...UGH. This generation, I'm telling ya...

If THIS is the survival horror part, Chris' section must just be wall-to-wall Michael Bay shit. You select Chris on the main menu and it's a 4-hour scripted sequence of Chris running away from a giant fuckin' explosion(that's on fire)

Aside from barely resembling Resident Evil, it doesn't even look FUN to play. The animations are janky and it's just a mess. Massive disappointment.

It looks awesome, zombies and Leon are back, that's what RE is about for me. I don't care if this looks like it was directed by Michael Bay or whatever, doesn't mean the rest of the game will have this pacing.

It was rough, but I will be one of the people who overall was very happy.

Leon looks good and he maybe be a bit older and rougher but still good.

I really hated all the QTE shit. I hated it in 4 and 5, and it looks even fucking worse here. The crazy turns when he gets surronded reminded me of Stranglehold of all things, except they don't slow down in RE6.

Still can't wait, just wondering how Gothic Horror Tall Oaks is going to be because that shit wasn't Gothic Horror at all.

It looked nice. Plus for demo purposes, and to get general people interested they obviously had to show the more "action oriented" aspects. The rumors point at each "campaign" been as long as RE5's main campaign.

So for all we know, there could be some really slow/mysterious/tense moments in Leon's campaign. Just that as a live demo it wouldn't get much people excited. After all, the success of the Resident Evil series over the last years has been over the slight change to action and the Milla Jovovich movies...and there's a new movie this year too. :p

:S I still want to play the Dragon's Dogma demo but man this is a kick in the balls. It looks good graphic wise but the game seems to be all about action and explosions.
