This applies to all systems who were first released as one color or as a specific set of colors and then hardware manufacturer released the same system in a new set of colors.
Now, common sense tells me that those are intended for people who don't actually own it already and this just becomes an added incentive to finally take the plunge as would a price drop in hardware or pack-in game would do.
But this is GA and it often gives you a distorted view of things with the nagging suspicion that a large contingent of gamers will actually buy the same system twice or more based simply on a stupid color swap (or casing redesign in some cases).
So, which is it?
