And I really do not have a problem with country. I actually quite enjoy a lot of country. And it does not have to be old school, recently Kacey Musgraves is super awesome. But the shit that is selling is horrifying.

"Smooth" jazz, for one. It's like anti-music, it's so bland and unobtrusive. Fucking horrible. I quite honestly feel like if you listen to it you must not like music, it's so divorced from actual music played by people who give a shit. I've never gotten the appeal of reggae either.

But to be a fully grown adult with years of practice and learning under your belt, go into a studio, hit record and say "this is music! I like this and want other people to hear it!" is not sane, rational thinking. The fact that four musicians, a producer, and god knows how many suits all said "let's publish this" is amazing to me.

Jpop, Kpop, or just pop in general. I actually like one Jpop song though... The anime Welcome to the NHK's opening track Puzzle was pretty good.

Most modern rap and pretty much the radio itself. There's some good new rappers but a lot of them pander to an audience to try to gain recognition and so a lot of their songs are shit.

Sometimes when people accidentally hear some extreme death metal on my iPhone right in between all the easier-to-appreciate music they all give me this face.

They can't even comprehend that people listen to this, or even classify it as music.

Yeah. Some of my friends listen to death metal but the ones that don't think I'm a satanist or something. I just like hearing people shred with crazy double bass blasting. It's also good for long drives since it keeps you awake if you let the music get you pumped. Saved my life a few times when I was dozing off from long drives.

What do you not like about kpop?

I personally find it all to be pretty much American pop, but by Koreans and I hate it for the same reasons I hate American pop, over produced, they heavily rely on their annoying hooks, and the songs just tend to be really obnoxious.
