Wow.

I consider myself to be a huge fighting game fan; grew up on Capcom fighters, SNK fighters, MK, VF, SC, DoA etc but for some reason I have never played any Tekken games before. Then last year I went to TGS and I saw the Tekken 5 demo on Namco's booth. I was becoming quite interested in it, mainly because of the deep bass coming from the impact of the blows (which made it look really painful).

Then fast forward to last week, when I bought the game for my PS2. I was not exactly looking forward to it, as I was busy playing KOF2003/2002 that I just bought. Then I played it. Damn this game is GREAT! The action is fast, and has a great emphasis on combos/juggles, which is similar to KOF, which may be why I like the gameplay so much coz I love KOF. The animation is stunning; especially the facial expressions as sometimes they almost look like real ppl! And the music is one of the best music I heard from a videogame lately, really gets u into the mood for fighting, especially the awesome moonlight garden bg. Oh yah the game is hilarious too, the story of some of the characters cracked me up

I think I have found my new favourite 3D fighter. Namco u have found urself another fan. I salute u.

Tekken was cool, but Soul Calibur is more my speed. The ninja in Tekken 5 doesnt feel very Ninja, while Taki has that oldschool feel which is awesome.

Now that I think about it. Tekken 5 is a GREAT game to start playing Tekken in.

Yeah, its still like 2, which was the best gameplay wise, and looks a gajillion times better.

Yea, I still play SC2 at the arcades, but I'm liking Tekken 5 more at the moment maybe because its a breath of fresh air for me. And maybe Raven doesn't feel very "ninja" compared to Taki because he doesn't use blades like her

Tekken 5 rox. Gonna practice my Asuka later.
