Shout isn't interested in reconsidering. They think that assorted episodes on single DVDs is the best plan for a little girls show, and a Blu-ray season boxset would make it a brony show. And they bought the rights to a little girls show, not a brony show. They will release a little girls show until the demand for it dries up. They have no interest in releasing a brony show. If we wanted to see the release of a brony show, we should've put our money on the line and bought the rights before they did.
If we're interested in shoring up support for their release of a little girls show so that it survives longer (which might not be the best plan from a brony standpoint), Shout is willing to take our money. But they don't have any system in place to tell them who the money came from, because they don't care. We can all preorder the DVD from Amazon.com in the hopes of making a statement, but we could all just be soccer moms. Everybody uses Amazon nowadays.
Although I should say that I still haven't cancelled my DVD preorder, because I'm a fool.

Also I'm pretty sure that was him as a pony kissing Twilight, which is a whole 'nother level of creepy.
A lot of us realized that this material being propagated out on the 'nets wouldn't actually harm our ability to enjoy the show like we thought it would.

True. This might just be (almost certainly is) a geek hierarchy thing, but the panda comic was a wee bit too wish fulfillment for my tastes.
Being a pervert is something most internet denizens learn to cope with at some point or another. Having to escape something so bad you insert yourself into pony world? Whole other kettle of fish. Not to say, of course, that those snap judgments are justified, only that that is what my highly unreliable gut reaction is to those things.

Aamulehti, Finland's second-biggest daily newspaper, published an article on the brony phenomenon and last weekend's pony meetup in it's Friday supplement, Valo.

4chan apparently now has a /pony/ board.
I'm honestly expecting them to pull a /fur/, though, where they lure all the interested parties into one place and then ban anyone who ever posted in it.

Well, I was looking more for suggestions for the OP itself.
Just finished episode 13 last night. Only watched one because I was pretty tired. It was the one with the race. It was a good one. I do like both Rainbow and Apple Jack so it was cool to see an episode focused just on them. Also Pinkie Pie was funny up in the hot air balloon booth. I also liked how they were playing dirty and using all types of shenanigans to fuck each other up. It sorta flowed like an old Bugs Bunny cartoon. Good episode all around. Also, Rainbows voice is awesome. How it has that little rasp to it and crack.
An avant-garde collection of images, .WAV files, and paragraphs written in assorted dead languages that when examined by the untrained eye on a Tuesday in a particularly steamy July through a basin of pickled beets that have been blessed by a Catholic Cardinal preaches the joys and benefits of watching a show made for little girls.

So when we do hit 20,000 posts with this thread, will it be the first PonyGAF thread to die of natural causes? Didn't all the other ones get shut down before hitting the limit?
As for what we need in the OP, hmm, well I can't think of much except for some of the customs and rules we've built up in these threads. Like "Don't link to full episodes.", "Don't feed the parasprites." and of course how and where to find the PonyGAF IRC and such. It would be great to highlight some of the PonyGAF fan creations for the show, and of course Belle Eve. I'm sure we have a few things from this thread we want to carry over as examples.
As for name, I'm partial to "My Little Pony FiM Community |OT2| The fun has been DOUBLED!" But my avatar might show my particular bias in that case.
