It is though.

At least Wikipedia says, so. Someone else can feel free to provide a more trustworthy source that disagrees if they can find one. I'm not an expert on japanese culture.

The national age of consent in Japan is 13 as specified by the Japanese Penal Code Articles 176 and 177.[36][dead link] However, prefectures can have ordinances that prohibit sexual activities with any minor under 18.[37]

‘Rape’, Art. 177 Penal Code 'A person who, through violence or intimidation, has sexual intercourse with a female person of not less than thirteen (13) years of age commits the crime of rape and shall be punished with imprisonment at forced labour for a limited term of not less than two years. The same shall apply to a person who has sexual intercourse with a female person under thirteen (13) years of age.'[38]

'Indecency through compulsion', Art. 176 Penal Code 'A person who, through violence or intimidation, commits an indecent act upon a male or female person of not less than thirteen (13) years of age shall be punished with imprisonment at forced labour for not less than six months nor more than seven years. The same shall apply to a person who commits an indecent act upon a male or female person under thirteen (13) years of age.'[38]

Oh LOL, I thought somehow the other thread about the last game got bumped, but it's a new game and the thread is exactly the fucking same. I wonder how far this one will get before it's locked.

/thread

I understand that there is a market for this stuff, but just keep it on the PC where I can pretend it doesn't exist, instead of putting it on a console where i'm going to see it on the PS Store while i'm browsing.
It won't exit Japan. If you're in Japan, I think you'll encounter sometimes this stuff. If you're elsewhere, you shouldn't browse the japanese store ;)

The show is a bit strange, but not unpleasant, even if I'm not confortable with the ending. But given the theme, it's not surprising that the game is risqué...

In fact, problem is that I can't imagine how you can make a 'normal' game with it.

As long as nobody is harmed, why not?

Hm, well I guess I'm not really arguing about the purpose of its existence. These games certainly have their appeal to a certain audience and it's okay that they don't appeal to me.

I just find that the nature of it is questionable, but that reflects to my tastes.

I suppose I just don't understand the appeal or light-heartedness of images depicting seemingly underage girls in sexually suggestive poses.
But that isn't the focus of the game, maybe you should get your mind out of the gutter.
As long as there isn't any actual explicit content (which there isn't), it's just your average, run-of-the-mill fanservice.
It's normal in Japan, and probably the main reason we won't be seeing a localization of this.

I was listening to a manga podcast and they mentioned how in the manga the brother admitted to his sister and grabbed her ass. So I checked it out and it was true.

This is some creepy shit.

My mind... out of the gutter? Are you saying that this:

...isn't an image of a seemingly underage girl in a sexually suggestive pose? I never stated that they would be the focus of the game. But they are there.

Unless its Opposite Day, then you'll need to explain.

Well, on the basic level, depiction does not equal encouragement, and sexual fantasies aren't different in that regard from violence fantasies or superpower fantasies.
Talking about Japan, I think they're just taking it all in a different light. In one of Mega Man games, there's literally a scene where a female heroine (thirteen year old teenage celebrity) mentions she's going to do a bikini photoshoot. That's in a game aimed at children (the subject of this thread is likely to have 15+ rating). Different levels and concepts of what's allowed and what means what. Cultural shock is understandable (although even then games such as these are pretty much aimed at no-lifers).

It's the sexualization of children that promotes the exploitation.
Because glorification of violence in video games promotes aggression...

When was that? Early on he claimed to be a siscon to repair the relationship between his sister and her best friend, who was distraught after finding out his sister was an anime otaku.

He hasn't flirted really, with his sister much int he anime/novels, with most of his flirting being with the plain nextdoor girl, the Best girl (Kuroneko) or the Otaku group leader (Soari). Sometimes with Ayase, when shes not scaring the crap out of him.

I think the only reason the incest plot is still around is to prevent the Kirino fans from abandoning the series until the last novel is released. I don't think she has an honest chance of actually winning in the end.

I honestly keep hearing that the content in the anime and manga have NOTHING To do with the title. That the title is very misleading.
Indeed, it seems like the sister wants to fuck the brother more than the other way around, so it probably should've been called 'My Big Brother Can't Be This Hunky' or something. That'd clear it up.

Read it more carefully, it is 13 but each region also has its own set of laws so its double tiered.

Ya, I read the whole thing. Age of consent is still 13. Perhaps they should consider changing that to more closely reflect their actual policies in practice, rather than what is written on paper. That's a tangent, though.

All I'm seeing here is that it's some stupid chinese cartoon made into a game based off a light novel.

And light novels are stuff targeted towards middle and high schoolers.

While I do not find any of this stuff appealing at all, from what it seems it does not encourage any exploitations

All I'm seeing is your typical run of the mill cartoon targeted towards a niche audience that are probably small in numbers anway and that is the only thing Scamo is exploiting here.

And? It's a drawing that doesn't depict a real person. I don't see the harm, if it exists.

Not to mention that this type of game is where such images would be expected.

Okay...? I didn't say anything to the contrary? I don't even know what you're trying to say.

Wonder what's in the BD. I know this season of the show is doing them at dumb true route thing again, but I don't think that's what would be in this pack right? Must be an OVA?
