My mind boggles at the Riddick Effect.

The movies were ok, and hey, lesser known group making decent movies, thats cool. The game was ok. Hey, lesser known group making decent games, thats cool.

but WTF?

I am glad for starbreeze. People over at TXB thinks enclave is one of the best xbox games. Very underrated indeed.

Bad Ass = $$$. Now someone needs to make a game with a Bad Ass voice (Diesel), Bad Ass name (Masterchief) and lots of shooting and driving, or ideally both at the same time (GTA). Billion seller. I got it all figured out, all i need is some money.

Riddick was a very immersive game with some of the best console graphics this Gen.
It was like Breakdown with much better graphics and none of the poor design choices.
Plus it had a better story than both movies (x10).

I don't understand the hate for the movie Riddick. I got it today on DVD and it was much better than expected.

I guess I'm in the minority.
Personally riddick had a lot of flaws.
The first few levels were fun and the graphics looked good, but problems kept showing up.
*Redundant Level Design
*Game seemed to be poorly paced
*The game seemed to need more development time.

It was a fun little game but a few missions deep, I couldn't be bothered playing anymore.

pitch black was one of the worst movies of that year. You got to be kidding me whoever said Riddick was worse than pitch black.

Does Riddick pick up further in the game? I've spent an hour, maybe two, with it so far, and am somewhat underwhelmed.

I agree that Enclave is one of the better games of this generation - if they had taken out a couple frustrating things, it would easily make my top 10.

IAWTP. Could someone tell me what they find so apealling about Pitch Black? I only saw it on a television screen, never in theatres, perhaps that is why I was bored to tears by the movie.

Yeah, don't you just love arguments that attack the other arguer rather than the other arguer's argument (Not that adam really presented much of an argument)?

Yes, keep going. I found it a bit hard to get into, but once you do ....

Pitch Black was great because...

The concept was clever.

It was shot on a low budget.

The effects in it were sparse and well done especially considering the budget.

The tone of the movie was serious.

The threats felt dangerous.

The characters all did a 180 degree turn on who they were initially made out to be.

The cinemtography and camera work was excellent.

The editing was really snappy.

Vin Diesel made a great anti hero.

The music was excellent.

Great one liners.

I thought the game was average

I mean, it was much better than I expected, but not as good as some think it is

BECAUSE TO ME, MY OPINION > ALL

When Riddick was released, there was all this talk about how games based on movie licenses were improving.

Then Catwoman was released and we all wondered what the hell we were thinking.

Vin rhymes with foreskin. Diesel is a truck fuel. Trucker sounds dirty. Vin Diesel looks like a penis.

Riddick = Ride Dick.

Not hopping on is like refusing to blast yer air horn when clearly signaled by a hopeful youth, erect in the pavement, doing his best silent double arm yank.

Well the Catwoman game was better than its source material :lol.

Only when MAF does it. Or Drinky. Or T.O.X.(The Original X-Dude, Bog). Or me.

I think that covers it!

Enclave ROCKS. I found the PC version to better than the Xbox version; it was released after the Xbox version and had a few small tweaks to make it the better game. I'm sure Riddick PC is the same way.

It's hard to believe that Knights Of The Temple is supposed to suck. :\

For those of you saying Chron. of Riddick sucked, did u watch the director's cut or the crappy, chopped-up, killed by execs wanting a faster paced "summer movie", theatrical release. IF it is, do yourself a favor, and watch the director's cut.

It it atleast 10 times better.
