So here I am stuck on vacation in this little house with 1 tv, and they insist on watching this shitty ass movie. I've tried to explain to them that it's one of the worst movies in years, but somehow they don't trust me. Even after I told them that when I rent this movie out at the video store, and people bring it back and shit all over it, they still want to watch it :lol . Then my sis gets pissed because I'm bitching too much about the movie, and she doesnt believe that it's a bad movie without even having seen it.

I think I'll just go to the bar and binge drink. Shit I'd rather be playing Dragon Age right now :(.
 
Your sister is right not to believe your bullshit. I never understood the absolute hate for this movie. The Village was a lot worse.

If I were about to watch a movie, and someone told me if was the worst movie in years, I would really want to watch it then. There's definitely some enjoyment in watching really bad movies. With that said, I haven't seen the Happening, but now I really want to lol.

The Happening is a different kind of bad. It's not even watchable bad.

It's definitely terrible. Although somewhat enjoyable if you view it as a comedy. Run from that wind Marky Mark!

Oh well it happens. People like to watch bad movies all the time. You don't have to be that whiny about it. I mean it's not that bad. It's not painful to watch. Just suck it up and say I told you so after it's all done. They might end up liking it though. My sister also ignores my movie preferences all the time. When I say a movie is horrible, she takes it as a recommendation. When I mention a movie is one of the best of the year, she actively tries to avoid it. Our tastes are just vastly different.

He saved you. Don't waste your time on this movie. EASILY, one of the worst movies I saw last year. Even thinking about it upsets me. Honestly, I'm crying right now.
 
It really wasn't that bad. If you don't take it too seriously, its actually quite good. Now, don't get me wrong; I've never seen acting so horrible, but it is a mindless horror flick that is still entertaining nonetheless.
 
I don't understand all the hate? The Happening is one of the best comedies of the decade.

 is the real worst movie ever made. So terrible I couldn't make it 10 minutes, I'd tell you what it was about but the first 10 minutes weren't in English and there were no subtitles(WTF??). But I'm sure it's bad from the camera work and what was happening on the screen.

This movie actually made me think that Zooey was a terrible actress. Her performance really is shit in this movie, but I think the fault lies mostly in the script - her character was terrible.

Fortunately, I saw 500 Days of Summer some time after and I realize she has potential.

I don't know how he did it but Shalalaman managed to make everyone in this movie look like an amateur.

Nicholas Cage is the only reason that movie is even watchable. Everything else about it does suck though. Howeer, I'd watch the hell out of the The Happening if it starred Nic Cage as the lead.
 
I saw it a few weeks ago on Bluray. Good movie, if only for the kid getting shot in the face :lol
