How do I love Gaming Age Forums? Let me count the ways.
1. Fairly involved gaming discussion. Sure it took some years to get to this point, and there are still some stalwarts, and the dread Junior Members; but for the most part the conversation is all very 2005.
I can't stand visiting other forums and discussing games when folks inject comments like, "This game would have looked better on the Xbox because of bump mapping."
People still spew lines of shit about jaggies and Bump Mapping?! OMGWTF
2. Ignore List. It rocks because it helps to filter out any of the dingle berries in my first reason why GAF rocks. Perhaps I enjoy the forum because I'm able to filter out the noise from certain users who are too bitter to just talk games.
3. There's always breaking news and info. Who really needs a gaming website when inevitably everything will be posted, linked to, or shared on GAF? The forum also has a nice number of folks who work for those things you read while pinching off a loaf, or as the eloquent Sir Timothy Esquire Lewis VIII TL put it - "Taking the Browns to the superbowl", so you're privy to gaming news before it hits print and other industry dirt.
Okay, I guess I can only think of three reasons (Four if you count bishoptl's Browns cracks); but they're three very good reasons and a big part of why GAF is a mainstay for my on-line nerd addiction.
GAF rocks almost as much as Shantae.
