Of those who have the shipping status 'Shipping Now' or 'Preparing for Shipment', how many of y'all prepaid with gift cards?

Just talked to CS. Everyone whose order says "not yet shipped" should be good. I was told that depending on where people live relative to warehouses, consoles will be shipped tomorrow with 1 day shipping (for prime members/those paying extra for shipping). It's done that way so no one gets their console early.

I also asked about the games I ordered Tuesday for the B2G1. They're expected to arrive Friday as well.

My order shows as "Not yet shipped" as well. I've spoken to them twice today and they have assured me I will get mine on Friday. What scares me the most is this is what the second rep told me.

Alwin(CSA): We only offer the Release-Date Delivery option when we know we can get the item from our suppliers in time to meet our delivery promise to you.

I have had the system pre-ordered since June 10 and will be pissed off if they decide to ship to others who ordered way after I did (not mad at the people who get them, mad at Amazon for that practice). I am not a Prime Member but better receive my console on friday without being charged 1-day overnight shipping. I may go to my local Walmart and get one at midnight if the status hasn't changed by tomorrow evening and then just cancel my Amazon order if I get one.

BK, June 10th as well.

If it gives you any comfort. At one point today my PS4 was prepping to ship, and then went back to not shipped. I believe they did this to test the CC (which I confirmed with my bank). I also spoke with an Amazon CS rep who said everything is on track, we'll see...

No gift card., just my card.

In fact, because it's 2 systems, I called my bank ahead of time and told them to authorize those charges with no hiccups whatsoever lest they fear my angry, saliva spewing rage over the phone and I remove the paltry savings I have from their bank...had to make sure man.
 
In southern California, ordered on June 10th, just changed to "Preparing for shipment". Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope they don't use Ontrac.

From what I remember reading somewhere, in many cases, they already have assigned a console to you via serial number and everything. Amazon is honestly one of the most respectable retailers in the world. They are not going to start shipping consoles to later pre-orders not knowing if they will have enough to fulfill all of them. Rest assured, they have so many consoles that some people who don't have release day delivery will probably get them much earlier than expected.

no clue but everything i've ordered this year for release date delivery has been shipped the night before from KY when i live in SC. maybe they just figured it's cheaper to send a plane full of shit at once than several trucks

I seem to be the North Texas representative at the moment. *cough*

One or two posters in Dallas, i believe just one, got theirs shipped.

Everyone else is still not shipped including me.

Yeah am in NY too and i don't get it. Always shipping the night of from the west coast. Always. Also i hate that SONY picked a Friday for launch. NO ROOM FOR ERROR. if you miss delivery, it's for Monday.

Anytime I get a estimated delivery date from amazon it's always on that date or before it. I've probably ordered over 100 items this year alone just to give you an idea. So for all those who are worried their item hasn't shipped yet you'll get it Friday. Even those who shipped today will get it Friday because of distance and or when ups picks up from amazon.

One time due to weather my item was delayed quite a bit and amazon gave me a $10 credit when clearly weather delays aren't refundable according to UPS/FedEx

I don't particularly know (in an attempt to make it arrive on the street date? Because they have so many to ship out?) But I do know that it happens frequently with my release day delivery stuff. I have stuff shipped via 2 day Prime all the time (sometimes even late in the day) and it arrives on my doorstep the next day. I even received a "release day delivery" CD a day before release earlier this year. Sometimes they are just TOO efficient I guess! =P
