Maybe Sega will take him back, not like Yakuza has been doing great without him.
I still find it funny he left his job making Yakuza games to start a new studio so he can make Yakuza games.
Because new, turn based Yakuza games are utter shit.Maybe Sega will take him back, not like Yakuza has been doing great without him.

Doubt it, seems like they parted ways on bad termsMaybe Sega will take him back, not like Yakuza has been doing great without him.

He also got into trouble after offending an puyo puyo player. He didn't "left his job", he was kicked in the ass and fired by Sega because he used the company money with no permission to go to dinner (and after-dinner) with other other companies' big shots without telling anyone what the hell he was doing.
He got all the way to the top of Sega's gaming division (he's the reason Sega only made Yakuzas for years) and thought he could get away with anything. And now he has nothing
They are still making mostly yakuzas, difference that even yakuzas become garbageHe didn't "left his job", he was kicked in the ass and fired by Sega because he used the company money with no permission to go to dinner (and after-dinner) with other other companies' big shots without telling anyone what the hell he was doing.

I'm playing infinite wealth right now and like itBecause new, turn based Yakuza games are utter shit.
This game looked very promising and I was really looking forward to see what might come out of it.
Yeah it's really good and so was Like A Dragon. Those games are excellent and the combat is really top notch for turn based. All the Yakuza games are still very fun. Pirate in Hawaii was a blast.I'm playing infinite wealth right now and like it
After what he did before leaving? Hopefully not a chanceMaybe Sega will take him back, not like Yakuza has been doing great without him.

Not even the worse thing he didHe didn't "left his job", he was kicked in the ass and fired by Sega because he used the company money with no permission to go to dinner (and after-dinner) with other other companies' big shots without telling anyone what the hell he was doing.

Now people decided to hate on it, it's just the internet being internet. Also, Nagoshi himself was the one that decided to make the seventh game be turn based so the ones complaining about it are just a bunch of retards.Yeah it's really good and so was Like A Dragon. No thanksYou had your fun. Time to come home.

7 was excellent. And I *loved* 8's gameplay. But the story sucked. Yakuza pirates wasn't anything to write home about either. Nagoshi brought a lot to the table. He could very easily be in charge of one of the spin off series. No thanks
Yakuza 7/8 were great and Stranger Than Heaven looks awesome
Nagoshi need more Sega than Sega needs Nagoshi
RGG7 came out like 2 years before Nagoshi left SEGA.No thanks

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Infinite Wealth or Pirate Yakuza. Both were mid but for different reasons.Bad news. Later Yakuza games are imo not near as good as the older ones, and with Judgment nowhere to be seen I was hoping for this dude to deliver a tonally serious Yakuza-like game.
Not even the worse thing he did
The guy let fame get to his head the same way Yuji Naka did in the 90s. Naka also thought he was untouchable, but the chickens eventually came home to roost. Legendary programmer, but insufferable person to work with.He didn't "left his job", he was kicked in the ass and fired by Sega because he used the company money with no permission to go to dinner (and after-dinner) with other other companies' big shots without telling anyone what the hell he was doing.

Can't possibly do worse than Shenmue 3.I wonder if he joined forces with Yu Suzuki at Ys Net, would the outcome be the best Shenmue or the absolute worst Shenmue?
You had your fun. Time to come home.

I'm okay with RGG making (new) turn based RPGs and people enjoying them. I'm not okay with them RAPING an established IP that has existed for almost 20 years, taking away the franchise from fans of that series. But we already had this discussion when Like a Dragon released.I'm playing infinite wealth right now and like it
Maybe Sega will take him back
I just want more monkey ball man
