MIMIC said:Water on Mars doesn't necessarily confirm life, right? For all we know, other life forms could subsist on carbon monoxide.
Or does it just prove that a HUMAN life form could possibly exist on Mars?

I would assume that it is possible that microscopic life forms could have or do exist in the water. The lander has a microscope on it so I assume we can find out.MIMIC said:Or does it just prove that a HUMAN life form could possibly exist on Mars?

we see it as red dirt, nothing more.
but when you think about it has a huge surface area.
there are still secrets to uncover on earth from digging and searching. especially in the ocean floor.
we have yet to do massive digging on the planet.

people say that space is so huge and that their are so many universes... that maybe at least one planet has similar conditions to support life like earth.BakedPigeon said:Wouldn't it be possible for another race or "beings" if you will to not need water to exist? Mars is essentially in the same orbit...Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If oxygen, that means we can breathe.AmMortal said:Where's life then?
