I work at JPL in Pasadena and will be supporting the landing phase (EDL) tonight. Wish us luck!

Congratulations for all of the hard work that has gone at JPL leading up to this point on Curiosity and on other projects. I sincerely wish you the best of luck tonight. I wish I could fly down to Pasadena for the Mars Society Convention, but know that we are all rooting for you.

I'm trying to download the Xbox live event player and it can't budge over 0 or 1%. I may hate my Internet but it's connected and I can watch YouTube or Netflix.

NASA TV needs to update their freaking tv listings. Recordings set to start in ~6 hours or so though so I should catch most of it.

Getting faster, getting closer....

Watching the NASA TV coverage. The short video with the Optimus Prime VA came on.

What a fantastic video. Damn near shed a tear for science. :')

Any word on what the quality of the feed will be like? HD? Color?

the coverage will just be mission control. There might be a few low quality landing pictures released but they're saying not to expect much for a few hours. It's not going to land and just be on it's way. It's probably not even going to move until September.

I wish Mars was in a different timezone, I want to be able to watch this. If the rover lands on top of an alien and I miss it, I'm going to be mad.

I'm excited! Something actually happening for once in the news that doesnt involve some celebrity.

But I'm confused, I thought NASA's funding was dropped considerably how is this funded?

T-minus 5 Hours to entry!
