I would avoid having high expectations. If something is shadow dropping that shouldn't give you high confidence that it will be great. If this was a serious effort MS would likely market it.

Well the leaks seem to confirm Unreal Engine 5, though the leaks state "remaster" a few times, what its saying in those leaks seems to sound closer to a remake ie why OP has the title remake, so I doubt its just some creation engine port or something

At best, if it does come, I expect some upgrade textures, small QOL improvements, achievements for Steam version and that is about it.

Maybe a free upgrade for owners, at most $10 for those that own it.

Right now also there is an onslaught of titles on gamepass, where it will be primarily played. It did came at a relatively quieter time for service.

As for polish, its polished to the T. They will have to increase the scope and budget a lot to be meaningfully different.

Meh I never played Oblivion so I just installed the OG with mods on my steam deck. Not really interested in the Bethesda Remake. Also isnt it funny this is releasing about the same time as the massive FREE fan project SKyblivion? Looks to me like they want to take away their thunder.

Skyblivion might be stealing Bethesdas thunder, at least for me. Playing Fallout London got me a excited for these more ambitious 'mod' projects that are coming out. There different teams, so the quality could vary a lot but the trailers look good to me. I'm not going to play through 2 remakes though... just whichever looks better to play.
