Toronto isn't pefect, but the world lives here. Anyone who wants to host a pro-racism rally here better be ready to put in some work. I can't imagine a worse place to pick.
Sooooo... is this actually legit? Or are a couple of thousand counter-protesters going to show up to a non-event and then have to peacefully demonstrate to kill time while someone on the Internet types "Neener, neener, mada ya' protest, neener!"
Despite how the optics of the Jordan Peterson thing have been interpreted, and may have appeared, the student body as a whole is can be pretty ambivalent, and the school at large isn't much of an activist bastion.
However, if this rally were to take place, I think you'd see a massive engagement and counter-protest from students from all faculties who wouldn't normally engage in protest. This is the shit that will get UofT students attending for only the most instrumental reasons to come out and express themselves.

The page also says "anyone who violates the freedom of expression or the physical well-being of another person will be immediately escorted out and handed over to law enforcement."
I'm reminded of that dorm bomb threat thing on a website which offered both English and French.
Hopefully these people can continue to stay peaceful, and in small enough numbers that no one has to do more than point and laugh to deal with the situation.
